RBS....
unhelpful call centre (bumped back to the start of the process 3 times by people who were unhelpful, and didn't know what I was asking)
Was given 3 unobtainable numbers to try and get through to the business manager I needed to speak to.
An account opened in my name without my permission
Generally a terrible attitude from most of the staff with one exception.
The worst callcentre I've experienced in a good while!
All for the sake of closing an account I never asked for in the first place.
What went so wrong that we let these people drag us to the brink of the abyss on 2008?!
I get better service from people I'm spending £5 with on ebay.
I'm gonna go lie down.

I would recommend First Direct whom I've found very good on all fronts. Even allow you to go over your overdraft with no charge on occasions!

I think it's HSBC rather than RBS. You get a £100 for joining, and when you call them, a person answers the phone and they are really helpful. If you don't like them, you get another £100 for leaving! So really, you can't go wrong.
