Northern Meet - Barnsley - Sept 18th! Hi everyone. We would appreciate your support of this planned meet in September, it will be a family setting, close to the M1 / A616 / A628. SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH - ELSECAR HERITAGE CENTRE - BARNSLEY http://www.barnsley.gov.uk/tourism/elsecar/index.asp There are several attractions on the site including a working steam train, vintage Fire Engines, arts & craft shops, antique shops, kiddys play area, theres also a 1940's themed event on with vintage Army vehicles, indeed that event is on all weekend and there is a 1940's themed ball on the Saturday night if anyone wants a weekend break in the area. There is plenty of public parking but if i know numbers we can have a section saved for us to park together, late stragglers will find somewhere close by though. There is 3 or 4 pubs around the site, a canal to fish on, 9 hole golf etc so it would make an ideal venue for any newbys to attend your first meet too and bring the family along too. There is Optimax petrol nearby too, the location is approx 2 miles off the M1 at Junction 36, Barnsley, also handy for the North West A628 link, or the A1 for the North East visitors. There are a few cozy hotels nearby too. Ask away if theres anything else you want to know. I'm hoping we can get at least 25 cars to attend this event so if your willing to attend add your name to the list thanks. 1. TDS 3 2. Mrs Mopp 3. Wobbly Dave 4 . Nice to meet up with you fine folks. Cheers to Beurling for bringing over the S70R - will be in touch soon! Thanks to Matt's mate - who brought the Press Car - GUL 854 T5-R - absolute minter! Someone is gonna get very lucky. I read the FVSH on that car - in one particular year in the late 90s it did 34 miles! See you on Friday!
