Evenin' all,
Bought a 850 just a coupla days ago, previous owner has fitted an MBC to it, said he has turned it all the way down so its running standard boost but still gets the fuel/boost cutoff when accelarating hard.
Now ive had a look at the bleed valve and its screwed all the way in.... is this correct? i was always under the impression it needed to be all the way out to be running standard boost ? Either way it needs sorting... apart from turning the boost down, how else would i go about stopping the cutoff issue ? Its bloody horrible when it happens, scared the living poopsicles outta me when it first happend !!
Cheers All
Ayden

Then it's not running stanard boost, if it's much more than half way up the white on the boost gauge its not standard, and standard boost on an mbc would not be fully wound in or out its somewhere inbetween.

Also the fuel cut is around 15 psi, if your causing fuel cut and stomping your foot down too hard you can wreck your engine.
You'll need a chipped ecu to get rid of it, which you can run an mbc with for an extra pound or two of boost.
Mines arounnd 18 psi, but I'll be going back to bcs and getting rid of mbc, rather than risk internal engine damage.

In that case its definately not running standard boost, it gets pretty much to the end on the gauge.....hmmmm
I dont stomp my foot all the way down straight away, i always build up the revs till at least 4k before even thinking about hoofing it..... however now that i know its running high boost i shall be careful.....

If i can id like to put it back to standard for now, there is a valve with 3 nipples and a plug tucked behind the battery..... i can but assume this is where the pipes on the MBC would usually go... is there a diagram so i can be sure the pipes go back on correctly ?
