Just got back from picking up the V70R 'project',
A bit knackered so off out for a pint, will take a good look in the morning and make a list of jobs to do.
I think the cambelt could do with changing, anyone know a good indie in N.Essex?

He stopped the auction just before the end, I think the only way you can do that is if you agree to sell to the highest bidder? I messaged him after and he said he wasn't going to let it go for £545. which also suggests he (or someone he knows) was the high bidder.

easy job but a bit fiddly just done mine again, you need to take off the handbrake gear surround consol out first with two screws under the flap under the armrest, then its just lots of screws from behind the centre consul surround, take out the stereo and heating controls too, use your torx bits

Hey Frankie, did you lose any skin from your knuckles getting the bolts out, I know I did lol. I took all mine out and sprayed them up silver as the proper kits were rare as rocking horse poo in 2010. Mine originally had the dark marble look trim.

That wood is mental but it was the flag ship choice back in the 850 so who cares, its different, i'm liking your progress so far keep it up. If I was you I would change the top half of the dash board to a off black one, thats been done on here already and it breaks up the cream well. its a shame because I just through the top half of my dash board in the skip because I changed it for the dolby set up a few years ago
