I was weirdly freaked out earlier when I came home to find the front passenger side window down on the S60R.
At first I thought the worst and expected glass everywhere but instead I was greeted by a very wet interior.
Has a window opening on its own happened to any of you other P2 owners?
Cheers :-)

I had windows not closing properly once on the M because they'd lost their auto-up
setting.
But if it was closed to start with and opened itself... that's a new one to me.

I wrote you a haiku -
The windows were closed
But later they were open
The question is, why?
Hope this helps.

My p2 doesn't do it, but I know on most Audis/VWs, if you hold the unlock button down on the remote, it will open the front windows, and you press the lock button and hold to close them. Now with yours being an R, maybe that's something your car has?

I have that sometimes when you try and close the drivers door window, and it goes part way up, stops and drops again.

Nope no lazy unlocking....though I'd have both front windows open then?

thats cos the window is a bit tight in the runner,
it thinks theres an obstruction so it drops the window..its a safety thing so kids /dogs etc dont get caught in it.

there is a window reset method, cant remember how you do it but its something like this,
ignition on,
do up front windows, hold buttons up for about 8 seconds,
then turn of ignition,remove key,
lock car with remote,then unlock,then lock,then unlock.
while your in the car.
cant remember exactly but something along those lines.
that resets the window module.
this may sort the problem.

Cool :-) I'll give that a go when I get home.
Hopefully I can get the car dried out properly the weekend.

For keeping the forum running with the funds out my own pocket and not banning people that are clearly extracting the urine?
Glad I didn't try and avoid ebay fees as all being equal the car would have fallen apart :-p

this happened to me the other day, came home from a week at a caravan... unloaded & locked the car... came out in the morning & the drivers window was fully open..??
then driving home from work last night parked the car, closed the window as i went to take out the key it opened on its own to the halfway point, done it back up & it came down again....
upon pulling the window to the 2nd click on the console it went up & stayed up..
its quite worrying though, i dont want windows opening on their own

The fault will be your drivers door switch pack. Out it for a new one, problem solved.

I came back to my motor and found both front windows down,I have had the drivers side one touch close stop working as it should,it would auto open ok but when one touch close was used it would close but then auto open again.
I put my code reader on and it says DDM-0022 upper hall sensor 1 or 2 faulty signal on drivers door not set, reinitialize the drivers door mechanism
Auto close now working.
