Thats a very popular swap actually, take the 1.4T out and put the volvo 1.7T from a 440/480 in. Straight swap as it is a renault engine.
I went to get few parts for my old 440 turbo and the bloke had the same engine in a clio, stripped completey to the basics, thing feckin flew lol.
I still think the 440 looks better than that POS.

They're definitely quirky looking things and small enough to be a bit of a naughty little sleeper. If anybody was to want the one next to my mum's however, they'd need to be quick cos it's just sitting there festering :(

If some ppl could get away wiv just wheels and engine they`d do that as they only want less wheight and more power not thinking much of handling.

Lad round here has a R5 Monaco with a 480 1.7 Turbo engine in it. He took me for a spin in it and I can honestly say I have never been so scared in my entire life. He was having to put 1/4 turn of lock on to counter the torque steer it was stupid and went like absolute stink.
