Just got back from an organised classic car run around beautiful Mid-Wales with my late fathers car club and I was wondering where are the favorite places that we forum peeps like to take our Volvo's on a sunday run out ? This was my ride for the day along with 42 other models of the MG marque around a 95 mile route taking in some beautiful spots in Wales
A338 between Ringwood, through Salisbury and up to Swindon... then back :)
I like the run from Llanidloes past the dam and over the top to Machynlleth, and I do like the road from Devils bridge to Aber along the top of the hill. But my favourite road is in Scotland. But I don't get to do a run very often (if at all these days) as cost and the fact I don't have my 850 spoils it.

One of the bends on the dam road is really cambered and you can pull some G going round it, love it!
M5, M4, M48 over the Severn Bridge to Chepstow then Tintern Abbey and to Treleck Grange, Llansoy then the B4235 the A449 then M4 over the Second Servern Crossing, M5 and home. Stopping off at various places on the way. It's a nice round trip and it's a mix of different types of roads. Well that was when I was driving that is :)

B 6255 Hawes - Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales, goes past Ribblehead Viaduct, is one of my all time favourites. Salut! Pookie
