i am putting the top end back together an cannot find any thing on the variable timing setting i have the basic cam set marks all set up does anything have to be done to the vvt thing that has a small movement or is it just set as normal ie top and bottom timing marks

I have this to look forward to. I am somewhat relying on the information in Haynes for the S60.
I confess I haven't read it all yet. Volvo supply a cam locking tool or you can make your own. Once the lateral end of the cams are locked - the manual tells you how to set the VVT cam sprocket up.

i bought the manual for the s c and v70s p-v and was assured it was the correct one but has nothing in it about the vvt just states nothing known at time of print so set timing marks the twisted vvt hub fully clock wise

I had to buy the manual for the S60 just to get the information on it - sorry I should have said.
