Yep you guessed it I lasted all of two months without a T5 parked at home... the D5 is still here too however for now at least. Yesterday took a venture up to see a man about a car owned by a forum user that was owned by another forum user before. Cameron's old 855 is now with me and will hopefully get the treatment it deserves. What can I say... a car with plenty of history but in need of some TLC, the bodywork needs attention and since driving it back I have discovered a leak from the gearbox shaft seals which hopefully will be resolved with a fiver of new o-rings. Other than that the car drove beautifully back from morcambe on a 250 miles test trip home if you like and used £50 of juice. So the plans? Manual Conversion with M56L short ratio box and 850R Clutch is definately on the cards and some power modifications. Here she is as I bought it... Image Image Image After a day of tweaking, including fitting new rear pads, replacing the comulbas with Nebs, replacing all the tatty engine plastics, giving it a full service, replacing the overly noisy exhaust with a stock one and fitting an RIP kit she has certainly moved on... next gearbox leak was seals arrive. Oh and it will be getting roof bars too as I dont like the estates without them. Here she is: Image Image Image This is to give you an idea of hopefully what it will look lke (roughly) when finished: Image You see secretly the reason for buying was I could bare putting up at tent at York.... or was it arriving in a D5???

Always interesting to see how a car changes when it acquires a new owner :) It's going to look smart from the pics you've put up, pleased another one isn't going it be broken when there's no need.

Looking good mate! On a side note, the Titans that used to be on that car are now sat in my garage waiting for my dad to pull his finger out and get them refurbed :)
well done mate good to se you are 20yrs younger again lol, looking good
Well it was about time... figured it was the sensible stupid car approach!
Looking rather fab there mate, I'm coming up to York next week....
back to the 850 about time to mate looks very nice with them wheels;-)
You said it would happen and it did mate! Silver Bullet Mk2???
Great looking project :rolleyes2, will you have it all done for Trax???
Possibly, as thats september its a reasonable amount of time away. All depends on the D5 and whether I keep it or not. Half tempted to flog and LPG this.

Got a nice new Turbo today from Dell Boy... A ported and Polished Post 2000 16T with 3" Angled outlet. Also found a Rica map in the garage when I got home, popped it in and low and behold she fires up and runs really well. Extremely tempted however to Invest in a Tim Williams map after experiencing Frankie's today fitted to my car. It was far more aggressive than anything I have ever driven on a 15G and it was blatently obvious that it was custom rather than off the shelf.

Just found a pile of ECU's one with Rica sticker on it and it worked. As for your map mate, difference is night and day... doesnt compare to Rica in the slightest. Tims maps in a different league.
