Hey thanks for the warm welcomes :) i am indeed going to the meet this weekend, i'm following Dalhousie2008 down there i'll be in the s60 as the t5 still isn't finished be good to meet some fellow volvo nuts :)

Usually monthly but last month we were at Sparkford for the Haynes Museum Swedish day. Good fun.

Oh look, a P2 with the bonnet up (nowt new there lol) That exhaust doesn't look standard...
It's a straight through exhaust system from the turbo down i bought it thinking it was standard (i know that sounds stupid :) but its really quiet in the car and on idle)
That's good to know. I've been looking at exhausts (along with lots of other things I can't afford) and the one thing that puts me off is the fear of droning on long drives. I'm just after a bit more of a burble. Nice looking car BTW

That's what I'm after but it's just pipe dreams at the moment (get it "pipe" dream lol) as I'll be paying for that bloody clutch till doomsday! The chav next door keeps bringing back boxes round for me to look at, with the hope I'll buy one off him. Unfortunately, they all seem to come off cars with 2" pipes or smaller. Lol
I'm not sure what system it is you cant even really here it in the car on full throttle, theres like a nice rumble when the turbo comes in and you lift off but thats it, Did the Video link work? :)

Sounds damn fine for an oil burner. I keep toying with the idea if taking the backbox off mine and "adjusting" the baffles but I never have the courage lol.
Only the cosmetic stuff....and a bit of wrapping. Having my wheels refurbed very shortly and then a remap afterwards. Any idea as to what remap yours has?

Sounds like it certainly shifts. Just be wary of the intercooler on these as they have a tendency to blow.

I know :( mine hasnt started bowing yet but no doubt it will lol, is there any companys that offer uprated ones for the S60 d5? or maybe from another model that are classed as an upgrade?
You could go down the route of fitting a fmic which I believe involves slight relocation of the ac condensor and radiator or there are companies like Radtec who will make you a direct replacement....I suppose it all comes down to ££$$'s.

Not too sure about a smaller intercooler, I'm certain the shifty member they call Pedro can answer that question !!
What about a 3" core front mount, I've seen them on fleabay, about 3' long and 10" high. sit nicely in the lower grille... ;)

ive only been driving 3 1/2 years and me and the missus fully comp with all the trimmings is 550 quid. (but whats a ten year old car with 190000 miles on it worth lol.)

i pay about £400 on the t5r or 850r. Moving to waterlooville dropped our insurance a bit
A lot of it is the value of the vehicle - your S60's book value is higher than theat of the 850, so if you crash and write it off, the 850 will cost them less to replace.
