Hi All! My old Volvo gave up the ghost at the weekend, apparently it is the in tank fuel pump that is fubard, and my local mechanic is quoting over 300 quid for a replacement, which doesn't seem quite right to me.Have looked up fuel pumps on both ebay and online motorfactors but not sure which one I need. The car is a 95 T5R auto estate.Any help on part nos etc. would be much appreciated

you want a Walboro 255lph pump, normally about £65 & an upgrade for your standard pump incase you do feel like upping the power at a later date

So do I just order the universal in tank pump? Sorry to sound a bit thick but this is all new to me!

Not to discourage you on a DIY but ordering the pump is the easy part. Do you plan to change it yourself or you'll pass it to your mech? Your's an estate ?

The mechanic diagnosed the fault so think that it is only fair that he should change the pump.
