Remember, I live where your coming Sunday, and will have 75 mins to do
I no, that`s my point........I`m expected to be at Mcd`s before the crow has had a p*ss on sunday. I have conmitments at home that means the earlist I can be on the road is 7:30. All I get is " you`ve got a turbo use it " well I will be at Mcd`s for 9:00 if there is no one to meet me then you will be a car down.
I'll wait for ya mate, besides Judge will invariably be late too lol.
Me and ayden are at a local meet on thursday night, more of a general meet.
I'll wait for ya mate, besides Judge will invariably be late too lol.
I would attempt to be the first this time just to break with tradition.... but I should be off to Wales next week(well thats the plan!!)..
We went, we saw, we laughed! Actually it was ok, we even won the raffle lol
What did you win? tweed jacket with leather elbow pads? pmsl ;) Ya know you'll only ever win a shell suit with vpc :hilarious
I won a head torch and Steve won a brush - yep, I did just say brush. Average age was in alzheimers territory but the old chaps did make an effort to say hello to us young'uns. There were a couple of decent lads there with fettled S40's who might come along to the Vine next weekend. Anyway, to get off Snickers and back on Topic for just a second (get the pun....) how about a list of those coming: Wally Dog

Wally Dog oblark Stribo and Relfski.
Wally Dog oblark Stribo and Relfski V70 Graham & Nobber72 ps Does anyone have an objection to making this meet a bit later, about 1500 or just after would be good pleeeeeeaseeee
Wally Dog oblark Stribo and Relfski V70 Graham & Nobber72 martinrpeachey (possibly little MRP and/or Mrs. MRP) 3.00 isn't a problem - Judge doesn't usually roll up till then any way lol. Besides, it's not like we'd have all gone home by then, probably wouldn't have ordered the square burgers by then :D
.....probably wouldn't have ordered the square burgers by then :D
That's the bit I'm worried about lol

Mmmm.....just don't expect anything that big THIS Sunday lol
Got it covered mate ;)
ill be there in the s60 3pm?
This should be ok to cook on for 15-20 peeps.....
It's tomorrow mate
Oooops.....thought ya meant the 23rd Sept one.
See you all in a little while...
Great turn out today, good to catch up with friends, and meet some new people, will post up pics after I've watched the GP. :)
Nice atacama c70 you got yourself mate. With some tlc, she'll be lovely. A fantastic turnout today, with some really nice (and a few mad) cars. Pics will follow tonight.
Here are few of the photo`s I took, to date this was our biggest turn out

Who's is the Red S40? I'm sure I see that car in Chiswick every so often.
A few more pic's from the meet.....

Just to let everyone know, there was only 1 'Square Burger' eaten today, best show of cars, poor show of eating.....I will hold my hands up and admit I was the 'piggy' and this is all that was left.....

Great pics! and fantastic afternoon! well done Graham, it is a monster of a burger!
looks like another good turnout, loads of cars there.
Good turn out im sure ive seen the s40 for sale on ebay not too long back
Sorry could be there... Who wimped on the burger then...?? Name and shame..
Sorry could be there... Who wimped on the burger then...?? Name and shame..
Basically everyone but me.....
Basically everyone but me.....
WE all eat our burgers................
WE all eat our burgers................
You do, it's just some eat BIG burgers :D
The TWR S40 is indeed the project car which was on ebay a while ago. The lad (sorry buddy, I can't remember your name) is putting some serious effort into getting it back to the standard it should be. And doing a really tidy job of it. Uploading pics now...
First up... proof of who had the MAN burger. I'd have really liked to have had one too but I had to go cook last night's catch for Mrs.MRP (o0nly to find there was nothing for me).
Oblark's car looking mean with the new lights...
The "who can urinate highest in the saffy" competition (won by relfski)
The TWR project S40 - off ebay and talked-about extensively here a while ago...
Graham getting all "MI-5"
Something else a bit mental...

All topped-off by the fact that while on a "test drive" with Wally Dog, the Big Sweed (for whatever reason) outran a ZX6R off a roundabout, and it only caught - up due to my not breaking the speed limit (*ahem*)
very impressive turn out. When's the next one, i'm looking to come down to Southampton about 8th-11th next month
very impressive turn out. When's the next one, i'm looking to come down to Southampton about 8th-11th next month
That's Wednesday to Saturday, usually the softies meets are on a Sunday. However, there has been a couple of Saturdays...
§§§§§§!! I missed it. Hadn't seen it on the forum for some reason but got invited by the fella with the green S40. Bloody forgot though. I'll come along to the next one!
That's Wednesday to Saturday, usually the softies meets are on a Sunday. However, there has been a couple of Saturdays...
i've got to go back to work on the Monday, i like to have a day back at home to wind down & let the depression hit lol. Once i've confirmed & know what i'm doing i'll post up seeing if anyone wants a mini-meet while i'm down
Fantastic Pictures, what a great turn-out and a lovely day for it. I was fettling with my bike all afternoon, needed to get that done as she is going in for a custom map tomorrow. Martin I'll drop you a PM about me picking-up the Speaker, Thanks again.
You missed a good one mate. Whenever you're ready for the speakers mate. I still have to remove them from the scrap doors behind my shed - that's if the scrap-magpies don't swipe them first that is.
It was a really good turnout - loadsa Volvos!! It was great to put a few more faces to names and fun dusting that crotch rocket in MRP's V70!! Sorry I had to go early, I was feeling really bad - been in bed since with a hacking cough and a chest infection!!

yep, but the next time I see you, I should leave you in my lowered, older, more bumpy wake once my steering/handling is sorted and new clutch is worn in properly! Thanks also to Ayden, Steve, Rob and everyones general input changing my top mount - has made a difference in the pick-up but judder is still there so must be the clutch. Just wish I'd checked that everything was plugged in properly before I went, as my lambda light is still on from leaving the MAF sensor un-plugged!!!!! Also, I've introduced some of you to Muddy Water - OJ & Coke - hope more people try it, refreshing drink which is thirst quenching on a hot afternoon and/or great for a hang-over!!
That stuff looked like it had already been digested - twice!
Great turn out !! Great weather aswell ! Was good to see everyone again ! Sorry i left early (perks of being a part time mobile mechanic) :B_thumb:
