Hi all, My name is Yann and I live in France, I have a 1998 Volvo V70R AWD saffron. My English is bad and I can not understand everything, but I try ... Currently I am the administrator of a forum dedicated to sports models VOLVO range (850/S/V/C70-S/V40-S60/V70R-C30 etc ...). Of course I come to see the English passion for VOLVO here! Country where you can still turn the cars at home, in France, it becomes complicated .... worse and worse! This will enable me to see, discuss and exchange information with you. I do 1 or 2 output circuit in the year to see and judge the changes that I make on my car. Otherwise? My front bumper is completely repainted, too much impact! Thank you all for the welcome! To answer Phil V70R I live next to Paris, I'm just 3km. Respond to general I would say change the first frame was a priority because my model is heavy (1650kg). So brakes, suspensions and certain elements had to be changed around. Today, with hindsight, there are good and bad things I've done on my Volvo. For example: The complete line 3 "is a mistake it is too noisy and there is a drone between 2000 and 3200 rev min. MAGNAFLOW mufflers are fine, they release the power but they make too much noise .... Today I advise everyone to have a downpipe into 3 "sport catalytic converter and after moving in 2.5" with a silent Ferrita or TME. With my current line, from the car to the dyno, 21.1 hp I won! It's still good! Against by the 330mm brakes with brake fluid Motul RFB600, that's pretty good! I've been doing some modifications on the car I would put here on the forum. Merci à ceux qui ont répondu Français, c'est vraiment sympa! As I have said I am an administrator of a forum VOLVO France where I'll share the best of my information with you.We have a section reserved for members internationals and the forum can be translated directly via GOOGLE. www.volvo-r.org You are all welcome of course! I note that there are many home model saffron ... With us it is rather rare! Yann

Hello Vikings!!! Some news of my Volvo. The last week I made an exit on the Montlhery circuit in France. It rained all day and it allowed me to test the AWD system, my tires Continental sport contact 5 and my Wilwood brake kit front 330mm. The tires are great in the rain, the AWD system is also effective and I have virtual limits of my model for my Volvo weighs 1652kg and it is heavy! So today I can say that the limits of my braking system in rain and my current setup is launched at a speed of 125m of 140/150km/h. I can stop at 100m but I can not turn out well, but it goes still Some pics: Image Image Some vidéos

Morosso is the one who places the best in my compartment VOLVO . The price is expensive it true. Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Laying dynamat across the chest. For a long time I did not give a new ... not good! Update Good and bad news. I have sold my Wilwood kit that sat on a FWD and AWD not on, especially at the rear. It made the happiness of an owner of a 850 T5! I would see later to buy a BBK. I am undecided as possible ..... Pfffff .... PORSCHE brakes .... BIG RED or BLACK BBK D2/ XYZ / PB BRAKE etc ....? I do not know! It's not important for now. For now I bought Brembo MAX discs for the front with 302mm front and rear Brembo pads original. Buy and fit. Cale walk isotta driver to complete my crank same brand Image IPD aluminum oil cap CAUTION When the engine is warm the oil cap also ... burn hazard! It's beautiful but .... Image Image Ah .... I have a new barbecue:: yo: No kidding! Image Grille XC70 ordered suede where ... it was long to be understood! Anyway! Mounted but painted black with PLASTIDIP. Image
Image Interior plastics were coated with a 3M carbon film. Not easy to disassemble the vertical dashboard from the inside without any disassembly. As against the dismantling of vertical console asked me problem with plastics that receive the screws. Some plastic parts have broken unscrewing ... Not good news. Reassembly is correct. After a first repair fiberglass I decided to buy the repair kit and aluminum legs .... it works pretty good. Buy from SKANDIX. BEFORE Image AFTER Image Also ... always bad news ... Here's the order placed with SKANDIX for bellows front gimbals. There was no stock for VOLVO, I pulled on SKANDIX. The supplier is LOBRO. Here are the contents of the box that did not appear the propeller nut with the order. Nut, clip, snap ring, grease and bellows. mounted Image Image AUTOPSY and my PCV? ... And this is a big disappointment and I hesitate with the good news! : Suspect: I just dissect my PCV and its hoses. It is often said that when the PCV is clogged hoses are too. It was even said that the hose could clog 2/3. My oil recovery goes well apparently! ... Maybe too much ££££ that I saw regularly harvesting and that alarmed me about a possible head gasket ... Conclusion of autops: I have not found any oil residue in all hoses! While in my oil recovery or hoses yes! In the PVC itself, given the size, I expect to have much more than that and finally ... it's super low! There's almost nothing in this box! Many final at work to see only that ... .We will say, then, that it's done! I won against a colored collector, this will be my consolation! Big cleaning and hunt "birds of noise" in the back of the trunk, explanation ... The feather is ... this species of bird which "cuicui" throughout the year in the high parts of the plastic box. But the "bird" is smart and moves with time. Yes my old self and plastics do not scale well, but this is not unique to our brand. I decided initially isolated among them some plastic with adhesive felt. This he felt there's are original but everywhere she goes with time. For example on the speaker covers trunk there. So I added, especially at the interlockings, felt. The luggage cover had his luggage at the ends ... this+this+this ... Tests this week to see if it works. Big cleaning Alcantara soap from Marseille and with the FUNKY VAX. This sprays the product you want and then sucks the dirty water. For alcantara I rape of Marseille soap that I diluted with water in the tank all the vax. Image Image Image Image Image I'm surprised, I was expecting more dirty ... Well it was dirty anyway! Image Otherwise cleaning the air conditioning circuit with the product CLIM 5. Well that ... that's the surprise! Whether you follow the instructions on the bottle or the Site, the purpose will be identical! I'll see if it takes time. The brand announces 1 cleaning an.Huuuuummmm I'd rather see two cleanings for me because I do a lot of city. Not mandatory however. The product leaves a nice scent in the end, not bad! I remove aerators to clean the windshield and the bay. Image Image Remove the plastic part of the windscreen bay to change the cabin filter. I gassed all channels with CLIM 5 as recommended. I did it at different distances in ducts including the indoor fan compartment where the cabin filter is located. I left acting as advocated 10min. Image Image Image Image Image Image

I left last 10min more without operating the air conditioning and leaving the closed fund. Small purchases for my battery KINETIC. I decided to set my battery well. At the time it holds very well but with a strap. It is not practical ... So I decided to replace it by a pedestal with 2 filtées rods and flange CUSCO blue anodized aluminum (Ali Express purchase for a pittance). bad news! Last Saturday in the parking lot of Disneyland, on the 3rd level in the last climb, my car was stopped as if I walked into a wall! The shock is important and yet no wall on the horizon! I take my time on the exhaust line just inked into the ground, delirium! I can free myself, I pass on the other hand, it goes but dirty noise perspective. The return with wife and children do not reassure me ... especially to 23h. Today I pass under the body and ... there case sensitive. The rear leg 3mm (bridge side) to net off the line to fall by at least 3 / 5cm. The bellows of the downpipe is completely relaxed and the stainless steel mesh that covers it is torn in 2 places. The bellows therefore affects the driveshaft to the front, I am very very happy ... and braking line also affects the transmission shaft at the back ... but that class! I can not do anything at this time to recommend a hand bellows and do reposer.Ma fund will then pass Parking in fashion ... F --- K !!!! Image Image Image Image Otherwise I have identified some of the noise that I had at the front right (passenger) ... and then I'm pretty pissed! The engine mounting was not tight ... I gave my car to a garage to remake the joint face of the oil pan and had to lower the crib. Result ... evil revised engine support (and for a few months ...) and many saw the number of turn of the key and I put it ... it annoys me a lot! For now it does creak more when turning hard left and apparently shifting to appear to have disappeared but I remain on the alert ... The stabilizer bar has no games, I forced with chats and quedale, not an ounce of a movement! The IPD HD rods do not seem either to have the game. I also checked the rubber mounts of torque from the cradle and it was OK. If every time I have to check what the mechanic I do not see the point to give him! Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image I still have the steering stop problem that jumped but the fund is lower than that can be played.

Easy disassembly to see the damage ... ..and what misery !!!! I do not remember that the bellows would ask me such problem disassembly! it speaks for itself, no? .... : shock: Image I received my compensation bellows today and even if communication with POWERSPRINT was not good, no response to my requests, receive the package is always a surprise! Image I had to straighten the bellows as I could ... .CAD with an iron bar !!!! History restore the angle and finish it with a hammer so that it touches the least possible transmission shaft and ... it's far from satisfactory but .... Following next week to change the line. News ... it is repaired but I relaxed line in more places than I thought .... The turbo and down the side of the bridge crossing took expensive and the magnaflow resonator that it has narrowed .... The descent and intermediate switched from 76mm to 70mm in places ... !!!! We had to crush elbows to the press brake to approach the original diameter ... .A hand it would have been had impossible.Il also overwrite portions of the line to restore the original angles! After straightening means and trying to put the new expansion bellows it still touched the tree transmission.Il had retouched the turbo down as pre-city. Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image l] bracket 5mm thick cut ... .. Image Image Welding the collar on the fields to increase the resistance to tearing. Image Image Image One of my silent rub a little but I would see it later, it's boring becaufe it makes noise but it should be fine ...

This required to modify sometimes covers giving access to the bulbs. The kit is in 2500 lumens, while a 55W bulb classic fate of 1,100 lumens. Mounting soon and thus test shortly. I took it out of curiosity and see what it's worth compared to a xenon kit. € 88 2 kits ... even if it's crap, it is almost cheaper than some conventional bulbs so no regrets. The views youtube videos I think it will still do so. To be continued. Image Image Image Image Image Otherwise I shaved my alcantara seats with a small electrical device that is well! And well! A bit of trouble to go in the corners but the whole is satisfactory. Before Image After Image Image Image Image Image Image Image   I finally handed a home air cleaner ... and strength ... to see that I have the distinct feeling that it is more open to the acceleration ... especially at low speeds.

Making a repair kit for the trunk curtain. I had overcome the first problem by buying another one ... and finally ... .. curtain death also! So there I will stop buying the curtains to repair permanently. Production of aluminum plates in 1mm thick. Production of new lines in aluminum 10mm diameter. They are 39mm in length and 32mm in split. Image Image Image Image The time to weld everyone and I see what happens. to be continued

Lubrication my sunroof. It was getting a dirty sound ... 1st passage WD40 on all joints as well as on parts dirty (glass rear portion of the seal). 2nd run to fat on all joints. The best would have been to remove the car roof, but that's a lot of taff. So for now it will like that. I made a bad discovery of a metal rod that was defeated ... but where in the TO? ... Not know !! : Shock: The other bad news is that I have rust on the front of the joint and it's really not good !!!!!! Pffffff ... Will piss me off to do that again ... I also tightens accessible screws. CAUTION [/ color] is a clamp on plastic parts. Image Image Image Image Image Change the throttle body gasket. I had put together all of the dough with Loctite blue.LE seal gasket is better well uniform. Reference: 9135990 Image Bevel drain and deck on my AWD. Bevel drain AWD. Not having to drill angle gear, I have not drilled a hole in the location of one of the 3 screws recommended by Volvo. I bought a simple suction pump CARTREND brand. NOTE: [/ color] For the power we need extensions. I have used my jumper cables because the electric son of the pump are short and TOO much! Oil Reference REFERENCE ANGLE among VOLVO: 1161745 which is also used for the limp of vitesse.Volume = 0.75l Reference AXLE oil in VOLVO: 1161620. Volume = 1,35l I use aluminum seals for 2 which: Int Diameter: 18mm Diameter: 24mm For the bridge no particular problem because sucked too. Image Image Image Image Image

Turn on the pump (vacuum) before use to locate the suction and discharge. While putting serflex (which are crap here ... tightening and death on !!!!!: yo:), otherwise risk of expulsion hoses and put oil everywhere! 13mm key for the deck drain plug and the same for the bevel gear. To remove the bridge .... it was sports (183000km) ... welded by rust + 76mm in my line ... so the WD40 galère.Gazage and waiting ... .Then I took a spanner and put an extension cord Mc Gyver mode, forced like a rabid animal and then took the key ... in my head !! Image Image Image Image Image REAR BRIDGE The oil of the bridge was light caramel color to the drain ... nice color for me! Then you have to reverse the hoses, the pump has no inverse function and that's a shame! No particular explanation, just watch what one must re-injected quantity. At worst it overflows ... Put the car flat to deliver the desired amount. Image Image

The bevel Same thing, screw 13, more accessible. Well there ... a dirty oil color ... very dark and not especially the amount I wanted to extract ... because ... 0.75l. VOLVO I asked to change a long time ago and finally I win an extra! ... There was not the required amount !!! No TOP! My pump has flexible he was well positioned in the angle transmission ????? Ideally if I had had more amount I could make a rinsing. Besides I advocate buying oil SAE 75W80 API GL4 of a mark "X" cheap, inject more than expected, outflanked until it becomes clearer at the color. Empty the unit and put oil or brand VOLVO oil. Simple recommendation. I injected 1L in the bevel gear and left the overflowing surplus for something cleaner. Always make flat car. Image Image Image Image Only negative point of the pump is the hose that goes into the drain holes. The diameter is not large. To insert no good problem to remove limits but we are afraid that the hose is cut inside .... that was not the case but it made me well through my mind! We must pull hard enough on it. Protecting well your soil as these oils smell bad and stain well. Make a phone on your pressure washer oily items if you can. Impression? It's psychological, but I think it is more fluid rolling. Change my IPD HD stabilizer bar rods with models MEYLE HD. The MEYLE models have a smaller diameter, they are 10mm and 12mm models are IPD. I still creaking at the front left (driver) and I see that the stabilizer bar that can do that ... it's boring! Bushe dead too? ... The IPD links do not seem to be dead to dismantling. As against compression and rolling it squeaked much more .... Being belittled and HD that use the parts. Overall it has held 45000km. Bellows was not circled by the retaining ring. More game my new models but not delusional either by moving the hand. Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image I also changed my steering stop fixed on the triangles. I took C70 models before 2005. They are thicker. My new stops were skipped very quickly after laying my Meyle triangles .... Bielettes IPD dead? .... I have some American post was going in this direction (He is apparently not very resistant ..) Image

I chose a mounting sense but I took of a doubt ... not find fixtures on the net .... Well here by once in place against one loses steering STILL! Already it was not the strong VOLVO but once belittled it's worse and worse with it AGAIN !!! I know I am a masochist! Image Image Image Image On seeing this photo I tell myself that it was probably not the right way !!! If someone a link to confirm! Image Image

Got my orange Aviation hoses GOODRIDGE home. A little long to get them ... .to see if it goes up ... especially at the length. Image That's it! that's welded! There's more than has boosted the curtain chest! 2 sets for 2 curtains, normal! Image Bad new ... One of my stops C70 to "jump" again! I gather that there 'is a problem between the stabilizer bar and the hub tapping on this stop !! Damn! Why it jumps ????? If someone an idea .... Image Changes in the trunk. I drilled into the floor at the shock absorber cups to access settings of my V2 KW dampers. So for now it's just a hole to let alen key (a little short here) Will be made no later than 2 decks with cue notches and a pair of longer allen key with adjustment knob. Image Image In standby, to clean, to the foam filler. Image That's it! I FINALLY found where does the noise that makes "cuicui" in my car !!! Nan is not a feathery hidden in the trunk but simply fasteners from the back seat squeaky metal against metal! Alelouia !!! What happiness now! I covered each "U" Felt about 3 thicknesses. It held that it held but at least I know where that is! : Twisted: Image Image Image Well if I do have any bone to isolate the noise to safe Curtain.
