Parked the T5 up today and got the Intergarle out of the garage, not been able to drive it for a while due to the amount of work I needed to do before I could MOT it, any way passed its ticket on Thursday with zero faults and today has been play day.....
Not as fast as the volvo by quite a margin, but damn that old school driving is such good fun.
No electronics to help, no ABS, just you, the car, a good engine, sorted handling and a twisty road..... Motoring nevana :-)

1st pic is half way through sorting out the body, other two are pretty much as she looks now.
Shes an 8V Kat, when I got her she had been badly messed around with and was in a terrible state ( should have been scrapped really ) she had all the rust removed from the chassis new floor pans, new rear cross member new sills new brakes front and rear, new suspension front and rear, inner wings sorted, rear boot pan sorted, full engine rebuild, the list of new parts is scary ! pretty much everything on the car has had to be renewed or replaced, and as I wanted it to be 100% genuine, all lancia parts it took a long time to do parts are not easy to find.... try finding a new rear cross member for an 8V with the lancia logo and part number on it... rare isnt quite the word !
I know that they can be made a lot faster than the standard car, but this one is kinda an investment. The number of totally original 8V kats that have been fully rebuilt can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Always wanted one but could never afford a good one, so I bought a crap one and spent 4 years making it good. Still not 100 % there, interior to do and some genuine 16 inch wheels to find and she needs a pro respray the one she has at the moment I did in my garage with rattle cans, looks ok so long as you stay 3 feet away lol.
Ive lost interest in her a few times, as you do I guess with big projects, but getting her out today, the first time Ive driven he with no faults, truely amazing, glad I perservered. These 80's hot hatches are such good fun to drive !
