Ah an area I can advise on! Well had you said the 2.0D then I would say go for it, I had an 08 plate as a company car in SE Lux trim and handed it back with 140k on the clock from new and it never wanted anything other than usual service parts. From experience with the D5 with the Ambulance service and having spoke with many traffic police while on standby in a police station I can categorically say with hard driving they are not reliable in the slightest, more so the twin turbo model. Constantly away for repair, usually expensive components like turbo's too. If you do go D5 then try find one thats likely to have had an easy life.

A F1 car is unreliable, point being any car that is drivin hard all the time will have issues from my experience both my volvos have been fine with high mileage so go for it.

I know it's a different car, but my '02 V70 D5 has 230k miles and is still going strong. Sometimes cars that have been used are a better bet than those that hardly get used - providing they are maintained of course!

I have a 2007/08 P3 D5 whick I bought 15 months ago with 53k on the clock. I have done 50k in that time & she still goes as well as when I bought her. But you pays your money......
