Well after upgrade the engine and brakes I`ve now moved onto the stereo system.
So I`ve brought this 4 channel 250w RMS amplifier :smile:

The amp will drive 2 x 12" 300w RMS subs and the other 2 channels from the amplifier will drive so new rear door speakers. The amplifier will be mounted in the boot with a carpeted cover that has a polycarbonate window.
Should be interesting :)
When I ordered the amp I ordered a 1000w wiring kit, when it arrived it was only 10awg with a 30A fuse and the amp should have a 50A fuse so I ordered a 8awg wiring kit with a 60A fuse, this arrived today so spent this afternoon running the power cable to the boot following the cars wiring loom. I will be going to B&Q tomorrow to get the MDF so I can mount the amp and make a cover to go over it. Pictures to follow :smile:
Quick update,
This bad boy arrived today :)
As I`ve been off of work since last Wednesday I`ve been busy with the ICE upgrade.
I cut, glued and screwed the MDF to gether to make a box to cover the amp and a mount for the amp, once the glue had set over night I cut a hole in the front for the polycarbonate window and two 3" holes for the neon fan and ventilation.
The cover was sanded down ready for the acoustic carpet to be glued on, which came out well:)
The fan was fitted so it would draw the warm air from the top of the cover and looks good with its neon ble glow, I`m still waiting for the stainless skull shaped grill to fit over the fan.
I have also fitted the two 1200w Infinity subwoofer speakers
Next job is to change the Pioneer single DIN head unit for a Pioneer double DIN in the new year :)
Looking great Rob, but please tell me your gonna use more than the 'bungee cords' to hold the subs in or do you have Velcro underneath ?

I like the way you've done the box for the amp mate. I see the fan is blowing outward, in the inlet low down on the other side? I see you still haven't got that nice grille you ordered, that'll finish it off nicely ;)

The ones in the car at the vine on sunday where JBL 1000w, I`ve now using the infinity 1200w ones :)
