just wondering if anyone has had this problem before? my mates 94 reg 850 manual has a noise coming from the gearbox when driving, its not a clunking its like a bearing noise and the sound seems to be coming from the box and not the wheel bearing
Check the gearbox oil level, If it whines in all gears it`s more and likely a dif brg.
it does wine in all gears and oil been changed
I`d put some thicker oil in it :smile:
we put thicker oil in and addative
New box time then;-)

noise does not got when clutch is depressed and doesnt make a sound while not moving
I still think it`s a dif brg, either turn the radio up :smile: or change the box if one turns up :smile:

My box has a FDR of 3.57 & a 5th of 0.65 :)

The must be something stamped in the casting too but it wouldn't surprise me if it was just a sticker though
