Only this morning I followed (thought it inappropriate to take pics as you will understand in a sec ) up to the lights a motorcycle and side car.Now nothing unusual about that I hear you all cry out,
BUT
When I tell you that the sidecar was in actual fact a HEARSE then you'll understand why I never took any pics.Came as a suprise when it eventually registered just what it was. Thankfully it wasn't 'loaded up' !!
So whats the strangest thing you have seen on the road ??
Oh yes ,about 10 years ago when I was doing deliveries near Leeds, I saw a VW Beetle driving the opposite way covered in fur, eyes over the headlights, stuck on nose, whiskers, ears on the roof, tail, and to top it all off a large key sticking out the §§§§ end, it was even going round !!!!! A perfect replica of a clockwork mouse.
Bet the lass driving it brightened up a few folks mornings that day, it certainly made me smile.:smlove2:

A year or so ago, we were driving back from my mum's place, through the picturesque country roads in the New Forest. We rounded a corner that bordered some fields and there, sat on a gate, was a man wearing goggles, a snorkle, flippers and black speedos. He waved at us as we drove past.
I thought at was really weird until...
Me and a friend were loading the car after an unsuccessful late night fishing trip. Out of the corner of my eye, I glimpsed two people walking towards us. It took a few seconds for the penny to drop... "phil" I said, "you won't believe what I just saw..."
The two men, stark-bol1@ck-naked, arm in arm, walked up to us, asked how the fishing was, chatted for a bit and went on their way. Not what you expect to see at 3am in November.

As said, thought taking a pic would have been disrespectful. Anyone know the Dewsbury area, well going up Wakefield road, through the lights at the top and it came out of the undertakers on the left.

My Auntie made her last journey in a motorbike/sidecar hearse (probably the same one). My mom had to ride pillion in leathers, was a fantastic way to arrive.
Can't really think of the strangest thing I've seen (can't remember is more the case, I'm sure theres something bizarre). Only one comes to mind, was on the M6/M74 on the way up to Glasgow and we passed a car that had crashed up onto the central reservation barrier and its front wheel had jammed between the two barriers and was holding the car in mid air, nose down, by just the one wheel. Would have been irresponsible to stop and take a picture unfortunately (emergency services were there so driver was ok)

Seen a 1970's batmobile.
We have a Smart car round Surrey with green astro turf as a wrap. I think there is a fleet of them.

Not far from me, there is a kebab house. Most times when I drive past, there is a guy dressed as a hotdog standing in the gutter waving his arms up and down to attract customers............

Being a lorry driver I have a slightly raised driving position which sometimes enables me to see into cars when in traffic and have seen several bizarre incidents.
One was a "lady"(for the purpose of this site) performing a 18 rated act on a gentleman in a car and I've also seen a rather stocky "lady" keeping her left fingers warm under her skirt whilst sat in queuing traffic. I guess she misunderstood Sally Traffic on Radio 2 advising people to get off at junction 21 of the motorway.
How I've worded this so as not to break any rules.

Weirdest thing seen/heard - a Dalek being driven around Hull, Yorkshire - theme music to Dr Who blaring out at the same time - I would say I hadn't been drinking at the time but every other Friday was a day off to pub crawl around the Old Town in Hull with some of the other guys and girls I worked with.
Fairly certain it was real though...
edit: it IS real! and it was in Hull too - http://rocketninetales.deviantart.com/art/Dalek-Car-296313383
