I've actually gone and done it?!

Yes I've actually gone and bought a Volvo! I always swore I would never own one but after years of my brother in law showing me how good his V70 is I couldn't resist. I've had my C70 for six weeks now and god it's quick. My brother in law Guy has had his chipped (see V8guitar on forum) and the brakes uprated, which, after driving his, is an eventual must for me. So far my pretty C70 T5 1998 in purple with the GT pack (excuse my ignorance on spec levels etc but I'm new to this) has been to Barcelona for 1 week, Javea in Espana for the next week and France for the third week, covering a total of 3400 miles at an average of 26 mpg. I purchased it, with 61,000 miles on and now my quick brick is nearing the 70,000 mark. Not bad considering that's all private mileage!! Do I like it? You bet, even my wife loves it and she hates cars. Oh and after six weeks of telling me he hadn't seen me on the T5 forum, Guy got a shock when I, at last, registered. Rick

:welcome: Good intro my friend. Any upgrade plans? So what made you chose the C70 (I personally know why)... http://www.volvot5.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=4608 Any road, enjoy the ride and I hope to see you at a meeting soon?

Hi Dave, I chose the C70 over the oters because I just love the shape, my 6 and 8 year old kids have loads of room in the back, infact it's even a good adult size. The boot is generous (wouldn't be if I had the soft top) so great for touring and the engine.........WOW. It's a fantastic all rounder and yet it's a coupe. Regards Rick

Sorry I thought you meant my car!! Get the doors re-hung/aligned much nicer than the ones on the zim zimmer. I'm still trying to work out how to work this site out........ How do you put piccies on a gallery.........Which is the best place to post threads........does anyone use the chat room......??????

Dave those doors are awesome!!!! didnt like the clip at the bottom when they show what they do to the car to fit them hmmm just show me the shiny finished product thanks. how much do these things weigh anyway!!! - is this a consideration for you? personally if i had a car such as the nsx featured i would not put huge chrome wheels and heavy lambo doors on such a performance car developed with senna.

Read the FAQ section and the Forum Support board - will give you all the answers you need about bulletin board code. 3 main ways to post pics - 1/ host them onto another site (or send them on an email to Justin@volvot5.co.uk for him to upload in our gallery) and post a link 2/ attach using the "manage attachments" section of the main text editor. File size is limited to 97K so you may need to shrink the pics first. 3/ Use the User CP - and add pics to your vBGarage - which you can then post a link to. Please post threads in the appropriate board. e.g. if you have a problem - then create a thread in the "General Problems" board. If you have a how to, to show how you fixed something - then put it in the "Knowledge/How to" board Sell stuff - classifieds - you get the idea. But don't worry, us moderator types try to keep things tidy and are generally a helpful bunch. Chat room usage has been known, though most use MSN.

Dave - the doors will weigh the same afterwards. I don't know how much the kit when mounted would add - but I expect not a great deal.

Whey hey!! At last you've worked out how to post!! Nice one bud! This site is addicitive... As you all may have picked up from the intro, Slicksparrow is my brother-in-law and a great bloke!! I always ask him about my next car purchase... His car is stunning looking, I love the colour, but everyone needs to tell him to stop moaning about the fuel costs ( sorry had to grass on you!). I'll try to drag him along to a meet, a trip to Avon is ideal as its local ( sort of ) to us both!!

Welcome to the forum! I just got my C70 about 6 months ago and recently joined the forum, you will really enjoy the car as standard, and more so once you start modding it (maybe not with lambo doors though ;-) ) Stuck in Germany though at the moment and missing my car, relaxation and access to the internet...
