So I have purchased a standard downpipe. the cat has been hollowed out and replaced with a pipe and re welded. So from underneath it still looks like the cat is present . I was told it was for a 15g turbo. But I have just noticed that it is a straight end insted of conical. Will it still fit as it is for a 15g. If not are there adapters that I can use.

To add I have a conical flange turbo on the car at the moment. Dont really want to change the turbo or turbine housing

15g came as conical and straight flange, if your turbo is conical, then you will have to either replace the turbo or just the hot side. EDIT: you beat me to it.

Wat about chopping the current down pipe under the flexi bit and reattaching the new one.

I've got a conical flanged d/pipe, been de-catted, but with no fake cat. Got a complete stainless system too
