Had a brilliant day today with some of the softies, finally got a good result with my car :D and met up with the usual old faces, and someone with a MG (but we'll let that go ;)) Nice to see Neil and his daughter again too.

Great day today, great to see everyone. I'm happy with my results, after venting the bleed valve back into the intake, instead of to atmosphere, and turning the bleed valve one more click, I got 235 BHP and 292lb/ft !! power's still dropping off after 4000rpm even though it holds boost up to the redline, so I'm guessing I'll have to invest in a remap.
Good power this time Martin and the face on the pic is happier than last time lol

I'm sorry to say but i think theres been a miss calculation there. I don't even think they had more than 300lb/ft when new, so unless its had some major mods done.........
Should be in the region of 295ft lbs between 2000 & 5000rpm.

I've seen my car do really well, and other, really nice cars doing their thing. And even though England got raped by the Taffys (deservedly too - fair play Wales - you did really well) I'm feeling better now than I have for a while - still on a high from seeing my 200K mile plodder make stock horses and doing me proud.
If theres another dyno day arranged then i shall run mine. Although im hiding round the corner with ear defenders on !!!

My remap doesn't give me much more, about 10-15bhp and another 25lb/ft. But, more importantly, it removes the limiter as well ;-)

getting back on snickers, I'm happy enough to report that my car made 238bhp and strangely, exactly the same 245lb/ft that MRP got! Guess mine's faster (due to lower weight!) at the moment, until MRP gets that re-map!! Great day, wish I could have stayed to see that look on Robs face! Cheers to the un-mentionable one for all the effort, tea, coffee and biscuits!

To answer your question, they don't compare lol from say 20mph-70mph its probably not any quicker than an 850R with an off the shelf remap/chip. Once past 90mph it just keeps going though, designed for cruising up and down ze autobahns all day, so pretty decent at those speeds..............but quite a way off an e39 m5 ;-)
