I worked for a salvage company for a few years collecting the write off's that you guys pick up, we used to sell them. Loved the job as it was always something different you where picking up but the pay was lousy and I worked with some complete ass holes at the time (including one guy that regularly came in §§§§ed and drover a truck like that). I used to drive an 18 tonner that could carry 2 on the deck and one on Spec. Look forward to seeing more photo's lol..

about 5 years ago they where filming one of those police camera stop interceptor your nicked thingys in the valleys and for a whole week they where camped out with the local fuzz in the area i covered for police work and was on there quiet a few times.
the celica was actually on the news and they filmed it live on bbc wales and itv wales as i was removing it from kitchen. My oh so sad (i mean wonderful) mother decided it was a good idea to ring them and get the footage sent to her on dvd
and no im not loading it up

can't find the video as yet but with the right amount of arm twisting i will look harder
for now i will give you one from a road between Abergavenny and Crickhowell that happened last week
The van was pulling out of a hotel estate and the car was just leaving a 30mph zone and only going into a 40mph zone
The skid marks say he was going just a tad faster (police said that too lol)

That reminds me of one I saw in Keswick car park a few years ago. Very nice Mazza Quatroport (spelling) half out of a parking space, bloke and missus on opposite sides of the car facing away from each other clearly not talking and the drivers side door of the Mazza folded right back and crushed into the front wing ! Looked as though wifey had been allowed a drive and had the door open as she reversed into a space but didn't see the tree, blokey didn't look at all happy, I was pi££ing myself !

Nice little pick up last nite, not a smash but one for me
Went to customers house to do a jump start on a mobility vehicle and while there they asked if I knew if anyone would be interested in a car that belonged to their recently past father
So I looked and straight away fell for it and asked for a price
All I can say is what they can back with nearly blew my socks off
"Well it has no keys so we don't know if it runs and it's been in the garage for last 5 yrs, give us £150 and you can take it"
Safe to say I couldn't put my hand in my pocket quick enough
So now I own a Riley One Point Five and keys are being cut today too as Barrell is exposed so numbers are there
Not sure what I'm gonna do with her bit for now it's about getting her running and taking her out then finding out details etc

Just up on ramps now and floor has seen better days
Son is on way back with keys to see if she fires up
Needs some work so gonna get her running and tidy and keep for few months then sell to someone with more love and knowledge of them
Don't think a t5 lump would fit in the passenger cabin let alone the engine bay lol
Starting to get very attached to her now she up on ramps looking all helpless

Cracking thread! Makes me laugh when you see how people have managed to get there cars I done daft places!
One of the best ones I've seen was a vectra on York road in Doncaster, front end was smashed into railings and the back end was pinned in by traffic lights. Looked like it had been lowered in between them from above!
Or the cars that used to be in the ditch on the arrow straight stretch of A47 near Great Yarmouth! How hard is it to drive in a straight line!

Ha, no way! I was a passenger in that. Small world.
The backend slipped out but the driver over corrected, car gained grip and then suddenly slingshotted around. Front bumper caught hedge and span the car around on its roof. Ended up facing the way we were coming on the other side of the road. There are still the scars in the tarmac now :)
Apparently, just before it happened I said 'Oh, is he going to catch it?'
...He didn't catch it.

Dave if oral was involved in that one I bet he's knobless now. What I want to know is how he did it as that road is fairly straight did he run into the back of someone?

What u dont see is the bend down dually a bit
He must have been doing some speed as he hit barrier in centre and slid mostly to stop there
Highways tugged him a few yards to unblock road
There's a junction on the bend see and it's the main one into Pontypridd and they travel at stupid speeds north bound and cut across from fast lane at last minute
Accident hotspot
