well since i sold the t5r i always missed the power and the noise of the 5pot and sometimes wished i never sold the thing.
well i am now back with a 850R manual estate , the cars off this forum and isnt to bad but it does need a few little bit to make it into a very nice car.
plus its got some nice mods already done which stopped the progress of the t5r
gaz coilovers
ferrita turbo back exhaust
and a few other little bits , the 2 above are great mods to the car
other mods planned are
RIP kit and a throttle body upgrade
me7 exhaust manifold
remap
and maybe change the turbo housing to and angled version and mod the downpipe to suit.
so had the car just over a week only had time to wash it once and didnt have time to get any pics (tomorrow hopefully)
it had a few knocks and bangs which i thought was down to the coilovers but it pulled to the left , had the trackin done and still the same.
so i had a spare weekend this weekend and set away trying to find the cause
driver side drop link has play , no probs
but some 1 had messed with the rear suspension and snapped a bolt in the car body which resulted in the rear top mount tearing away from the car (not pointing fingers at all)
but my m8 been the gent he is came down and rewelded the car so its all good now
had a look round the rest of the car to make sure everything was fine. well 3 bolts missing from the gearbox and 1 from the starter motor , easy fixes and no harm done just wish i had been informed about the other mistake
will get some pics up tomorrow after its been washed
cheers

I did get a pic of the worst one, but my phone went flat. TBH, they are dull and blistering and not very appealing. The tyres have a few thou left in them with 2 quite worn suitable for the rear wheels, but I want them on my C70, so I will be keeping them.

You're top of the list if I decide to sell them. I think for £120 they are a steal and at least 2 other peeps have been after them besides you.

Haha, I like the look of the standard one but if i were you I'd put that one away and get another to spray black.
As for wheels, if you get 18's you will only end up getting rid as they they don't suit your driving style remember.

Feel free to start a thread if you want to keep getting a rise out of one another. (As long as it stays within rules............that includes the one about evading the swear filter).

Remember this from when Saamon used to own the car. He bought it standard and did a few bits and peices to it, including the exhaust which did indeed sound nice! If it's anything like it was when he had it you've got yourself a lovely car Lee! ;)

by todays standard very slow , if I had got without knowing how quick there are tuned ad have sold it lol.
car feels nice and punchy with the t3 turbo that's on , I think the t3 is very similar in size to a 16t , need the fuel pump doing and the timing belt next then a set up , so should be sweet in about 2/3weeks

Post 618915 by leet5r on 2013-06-22 16:37:47
the t3 will struggle to make anything over 350bhp so its about the same size as the 16t smithy , a t3 has a .48 housing not the .63 lol.
needs a set up to get the most from it like , dean al be taking it to motorscope for a power run and set up in a few weeks a reckon if your game for a power run
Post 618916 by smithy on 2013-06-22 16:43:36
You won't get 350 bhp out of a 16t ether and I said I had a .63 exhaust housing on my t4 hybrid and yes the .48 exhaust may be small but very good for fast spool up though. But don't get me wrong i always have liked the cossie but the rs500 and escort are my fav

Sorry to hear this Lee, but you sound exactly like me. I'm running a V70 R and C70 T5 for my 25-30k a year business miles. However, by driving them carefully, I'm getting 30 in the R and 34-35 in the C70, so can just about afford to carry on with them. When it's a weekend though, I put my foot down and drive them like they should be driven.

Having the darker interior is far more desirable than that horrible light interior. Keep the wheels the standard colour so the car looks stock on the outside and just make it go faster. Will be the best 850r on the forum then in my opinion.

You have an n/a gearbox in your car if it is emlyns old 850r mate. Are you sure it's not clutch bearing rattle or ghe clutch itself .that car is bloody quick from what Emlyn said and its stock too .
Post 630099 by danny-R on 2013-07-28 19:51:32
It is quick for an unmapped car but the gears are definitely too short

its not that fast , it went okay with deans mte map in from what I heard , only running 10psi so nothing to flash. could be the thrust bearing or clutch but a was told its all new ??, a lost a little bit of love for the old girl , been up my m8s this afternoon and wheels will be painted and car machined and painted were needed

It was done Emlyn paid Andy from Norfolk to do I think .depends what you are used to regarding how things are fast or not .im used to a s40 1.8vvt and a 140 bhp 940 so it will feel rapid to me lol

Hi today I fitter my poly top mount and bulkhead mount bushes, also fitted my sub frame bush inserts and what a difference it has made to the handling.
I also had a unsuccessful attempt at fitting my 3" down pipe but the bend on it was too large a radius and I could not get it in as it was hitting the bulkhead so I butchered it and fitted the original and a custom decat pipe with stainless cat back 2 1/2" so now all I need is a 3" dp with tight radius bend and I will me happy with the exhaust. No rattles so far but I can hear a puff from a join. Not to worry.
Its not too much louder than stock at low revs but gives a great growl when you give it the beans :eclipsee_
Getting the wishbone bushes done on Tuesday and I still need to track down a 21.5mm or bigger anti roll bar and bush kit as my bushes look like they are on there way out.
Cheers Dob
