I ordered a new genuine tailpipe for my 850 as the original was really rusted, expecting a nice polished oval one from a V70 but guess what - the price has come down but they are not polished anymore and apparently the C70 one is actually NLA. I'ts just plain mild steel so it best last ok. I'm gonna live with it as it is way better than what was there but not as nice as it might have been. [ATTACH=CONFIG]21181[/ATTACH]
oh dear, why not get a bolt on aftermarket bit?
the 850 tailpipe is long, and being a non turbo if i ordered an aftermarket one it would be the same as the original - a straight tube . the aftermarket tailpipes are too short. i'll live with it. you can come round and mirror polish it for me?

hi pete, tell me what the order number was and i'll happily send you some sweets over. then :nutkick: whoever forgot to put them in. thanks for the offer of the tailpipe. - what is the id of it? as mine is a non turbo 2.5 20v the size was 2-1/4 inches, and i think the turbo one is larger ? it might still be fittable though if i clamped it up more.

hi pete, thanks for your offer. I thought about this over the weekend, but in theory i would have to cut the new pipe , leave the sleeve on the exhaust and then put the other pipe over that to make it even close to the right size. i dont facny cutting the new pipe about so i'll leave it for now. it looks a bit better now, as i have polished it up a bit to take out the streaks so its a matt finish at present .
Cant you just fit a chrome trim? Tony.
not really . any other aftermarket trim is way too short
