Welshpool Airshow and Festival of Transport Sunday 9th June

Short notice I know,but if anyone interested in going I'll contact the organisers and do the arrangements. If your exhibiting your car you get free admission and passengers are £5 adults £3 kids (if they even bother to charge you, as they didn't last year), lots to see and do and a great afternoons program of flying display's with amazing aircraft, helicopters, hot air balloons and skydivers, see to more follow the link. I'm attending with the T5-R and a couple of our MG's aswell (they will be with the other MG's don't want to spoil some nice Volvo pics) and hopefully Claymore in the T5-k (subject to tax and test) and this could be used as the next Shropshire / Mid-Wales meet so get your names down

No worries mate, you may get to see them anyway as they will be flying over to Welshpool from the Cosford airshow that is the same afternoon

Hi folks, sorry to be so late on this as I have only just heard back from the organisers, the festival of transport is basically full, but that said the organiser has said, that if your happy paying the gate fee as normal they will try and put us with the transport section, so no real change ( except the driver would possibly be having to pay admission, but this may also be avoided if we are in before 10.00, as last year I was not booked in and was just waved into the transport field and no gate fee ( even for the passenger )) So hopefully the same could happen this year and if not the proceeds go to the Welsh Air Ambulance ( a worthy cause I say ). Could all meet up in Welshpool and convoy in if you all wish.

When you arrive, Glyn fob them off on the gate and get yourself directed into the festival of transport area ( highly unlikely I know but tell them you have had techncal problem or something )

Just found out they have an addition of a chinook helicopter landing at the airshow, you will won't believe how close you can get to this as it lands and takes off again later in the afternoon. If the weather stays as it is, it will be a cracking day.

We only stayed for a few hours due to having to be somewhere else, was absolutely brilliant day out, finally got to see claymores 850, awesome car and great sound! It was good to see Adrian, Jayne and their son, great looking motors! not sure how to upload pics. will try though.

My Parents were there today (Dad in his 850 AWD too) but they didn't wonder around to see the cars apparently. And I was stuck at work until 3 :(
