Hi Guys, I'm Jim and hail from Poole in Dorset. I couldn't find a Massey Ferguson in the right colour so opted for a 2004 C70 GT T5 instead So far, it has been a smile inducing experience and from reading the forums I am looking forward to tweaking it a little. As I have only had the car for 3 weeks and being my first Volvo, the forums are proving a big help and the strut brace is already bought and fitted Next up is a wheel refurb, I did consider swapping to 18's but decided the 21 spokes are unusual and worth keeping. Hardest choice is the colour. I thinks the brakes could do with some work as to me, they seem a little soft? First impressions, this car is going to bring years of fun driving Regards, Jim

I have just moved from Parkstone to Upton, used to live at Hood Close, Wallisdown years ago :)
We'll have some pictures of the car in the mean time please
Pics incoming when I get home from work :) As for the 'meet' definitely interested although 'The usual place and usual time' doesn't show up on Google Map :D

Post 615213 by M-R-P on 2013-06-10 12:05:51

The meet is at the Vine Inn, just off J2 on the M27 (before Cadnam), we can go in convoy if you like. I'm on the other side of Walisdown road from Hood Close :) I work in the industrial estate above Tower park (chalwyn).
Sounds like a plan, although reading your sig you could be a bad influence on my wallet :D
Fear not - I only buy mods if they're a bargain and doo all the work myself (mostly) ;) Lowering springs -£40 Full leather interior - £55.50 Strut brace tensioners - £12 Ebay Boost gauge - £10 (just bought another) The list is endless lol.

That's what I'm afraid of :D Any ideas on good wheel colours for a dark blue metallic car? The wheel are 17" Cratos 21 spokes. Torn between Black Satin, Anthracite, Smoked Chrome or Metallic Silver.

Post 615230 by V70 Graham on 2013-06-10 12:33:28

That's these I think..... Image Ask 4 people their views and you'll get 4 different answers, personally I'm a fan of the silver, though if your after the 'mean' look black satin or anthracite would look good.

How about this... clicky linky! for a good wheel colour.

The price is better if you can leave the wheels with them for a week or so. Looking at getting BBS silver with black chrome on inside £250 to remove tyres ,refinish ,then refit tyres with new valves.

Welcome to the forum & when I bought mine in jan it was staying basically standard.... Then I joined vpcuk. Some bargain mods & parts to be had, but some you pay through the teeth through. All very worth it though.

Comets are still the best shaped wheels for the C70 - I am late to this thread but the same I wish you a warm welcome.
