I'm likely going to refurb the Volans on my R at some point. Was going to paint them myself but don't have the time to strip the paint and corrosion by hand so what's the best way ? I've heard sandblasting can pit the surface so glass bead blasting may be preferable but acid dipping seems quite popular now. Anyone any idea of the cost I am likely to pay and which process gets best results ?

Jack up the car, put a brick on the pedal and use something to scrape the paint off, you'll do it well quick ;-)
