Being the busy boy I am (take note Flying Brick :P) I changed the front pads and discs on the R this morning, having done my exhaust.
The outer part of the disc was just worn:
The inner though looked a lot worse:
Looks like mounting problems or sticky inner calipers. There's deffo not been full contact there for some time mate. I seem to remember you saying "why would I worry about what size the brakes are on my wife's car..." Well you've got more than the size to worry about now lol. My 336 brakes are working perfectly by the way :bud:
Your's have only been on 5 minutes, see how they look after 9 years. :P
The R calipers don't move on sliders,my guess would be the alu under the stainless guides have lifted the guides up (bit of corrosion)and nipped the pads in the calipers which would hold the pads too tight to let them move/float around as they should. Were the inner pads a bit harder to remove ?.

I'm guessing the car was stood up for a while before we bought it, all pistons went back fine, and the rubbers looked good.
have you binned those discs yet. could use them for a moc up

No you can have them, I like the sound of your conversion, would go well on my C70.;)
