Some of you might already know but I swapped my p2 for a 325ci msport coupe and gave it to the mrs. Earned some serious brownie points. It was just getting ruined carting me and my tools about so have just bought a v70 t5 for scrap value needs a bit of work for mot but seems a decent car. Only downside is its me7.
its only done 130k and has full leather with 7 seats heated and everything. Will upload a few pics Today then see the difference after its mot and a good clean.
its lumpy on idle so changed the maf for a good one but still the same. Watch this space

under inlet manifold. dump it out side mine one weekend and you can try out some nice new goodies for it.
Post 648156 by danny-R on 2013-09-29 17:29:26
Do you think it could be accessed without removing the rad or inlet. Cheers graeme will give you a text
Post 648157 by graemewelch on 2013-09-29 17:32:07
i removed the fan on mine when i cleaned it. made it loads easier. one tin of carb cleaner and it was sorted.
Post 648158 by c70geoff on 2013-09-29 17:32:38
doubt it mate
inlet can stay on
i found out after i removed everything bar the rad
best to go the rad route

Post 648207 by graemewelch on 2013-09-29 19:43:29

Post 648208 by danny-R on 2013-09-29 19:45:49
Ive gave up for the night it got too dark. I took out the 4 t25 screws but then read somewhere it is 4 10mm bolts so will have another go tomorrow. Will be ordering 2 new bottom arms and 2 strut tops. Got new discs pads and arb links. Then 2 tyres and it should be good to go
Post 649200 by danny-R on 2013-10-02 11:09:19
Cleaned out the etm and it idles perfectly. Ive decided im going to put it through mot then sell it and buy a non me7. Already fitted discs pads arb links bottom arm and strut tops. Drivers side caliper is sticking so needs replacing. Still need to adjust handbrake and fit 2 front tyres and give it a good valet.

Mot passed. don't know how when the dash is lit up like a christmas tree. Eml, etm , abs and fuel lights are all on. Picking it up from test centre was the first time I've even sat in it. Even with all the lights on it drives smoother than any other volvo ive been in. Going to try reseting the codes in the morning as it won't rev past 6000 and tbh doesn't feel like its boosting properly could be down to the etm light whatever that is ?
Post 649995 by graemewelch on 2013-10-04 20:40:14
push down harder on the pedal lol
Post 649996 by danny-R on 2013-10-04 20:41:40
Foot was nearly through the floor and it just stops at 6000 revs and another thing. The fan stays running for ages after its turned off?

Been driving this a while now and its starting to grow on me. Ive stuck a set of dunlop winter tyres on it so I might just keep it over the winter as the bmw probably wont get off the drive in the snow. It has lovely heated seats even the rear bench is heated which must be pretty rare? It hadnt been driven or cleaned for a year before I got it and I've still not cleaned it lol.
It does have a fault that bugs me though. There is a light that looks like handbrake light and it comes and goes. When its on the speedo doesnt work and its not as fast as it should be. It goes very well when its not lit though, any ideas?

I'm quite jealous of the price you paid for this...... looks quite clean. Been after trying to get the rear bench heated on mine.
Hopefully you can get it sorted and running properly, I'm trying to get a 16t for mine, might pop out on wednesday if you're out, The ph1 v70's will be taking over tpark lol
Post 652767 by danny-R on 2013-10-15 10:06:50
It owes me 500quid with a full tax and test. Could run it for the year and it would still be worth that. Yeah ill prob be out mate

This is the light that causes me problems.
Post 652782 by M-R-P on 2013-10-15 12:52:12
Brake failure warning isn't it?
Dodgy sensor somewhere? I thought only plod cars had the pad wear sensor... hmmm.
ABS sensor somewhere?
Post 652784 by stribo on 2013-10-15 12:58:07
Check your brake fluid level, mine flashed up at me on the strip at Shakespeare, because it was on minimum.
Post 652785 by daza-b on 2013-10-15 12:58:29
Wont this have the ABS rings on the driveshafts? make sure they are intact, i think its passenger side that picks up the signal for the speedo :) IF not like Mr P said ABS sensor
Post 652793 by danny-R on 2013-10-15 13:14:25
Its had new discs and pads and the codes reset will check the fluid if not will have to look into abs sensors
Post 652830 by leet5r on 2013-10-15 17:22:55
me dad done his like danny , easy enough job and the abs rings were only a 10er
Post 652833 by stribo on 2013-10-15 17:33:41
Generally, if it's an ABS sensor it'll bring the ABS light on, and not the brake warning light. If the fluid level is o.k., just check the level sensor's working, and the float's not stuck.
Post 652891 by danny-R on 2013-10-15 21:34:55
The fluid was fine. I changed a caliper for mot and bled the brakes then. Will order the 2 abs sensors tomorrow and looks like I might need a radiator as its sprung a leak lol

I swapped it for a bmw 325 coupe that is definatley worth more. Plus it had major oil leaks, just about to hit 200k and to be fair I only need a cheap knacker as all the do is shift my tools and bags of plaster about.
Not kidding I honestly think the one I have now is faster
