Have had a vibration on my V40 for a little while now and have never got round to checking it out. Felt like it was coming from the front wheels as got a real shake at 60mph thru steering wheel. There is a lot of pot holes round here and the 205 40 17 tyres crash like feck when you inadvertently hit one. Plan was to swap front wheels and put my winters on it, take it for a spin and see if that cured it. Took OSF off and had a small bleb on sidewall and noticed a 10mm crack on the rim, bugger! then took NSF off and Christ almighty [ATTACH=CONFIG]22716[/ATTACH] The biggest bleb I have ever seen, on the inner unseen edge, honestly the pictures don't show it in all its magnificence. Looked like the elephant man lol Drove this to collect my new boot lid on Saturday, 150 mile round trip at 85 mph-ish.....lucky lucky boy! Needless to say, all the winters are now on and the alloys are consigned to the garage for the time being.
