We the starting issue has gotten worse and a friend/mechanic of mine is changing the flywheel for me tomorrow as i simply cant be arsed and also dont really have the time. What i did do is make a start for him just to prep everything and have a general look around for the last time as either way it will be, Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us All looking nice and dry under there so hopefully the change of flywheel my just save her. :( will update stuff tomorrow evening

Bad news on the fly wheel I thought you had sorted it I carnt remember off the top of my head now but what was the difference between the two
Bad news on the fly wheel I thought you had sorted it I carnt remember off the top of my head now but what was the difference between the two
The early flywheels have hollowed out holes around the flywheel, the later obd2 cars have raised lugs, You can reverse the polarity ie change the crank sensor plug round the other way this will enable you to start and run the car, But since the weather has got colder i think the signal to the ECU has got to weak when cranking so she takes ages to fire. When cranking there is No spark. (until the flywheel) has done sufficant amounts of revolutions. Eveything electrical has been changed for new OE parts.

The signal friquency is to blame I suppose.Hope to hear the good new mate.

Which if there was any adverse effects from doing this (like the slow starting your having) i doubt they'd would be happy with, they'd of just ordered the correct crank speed position sensor. Have you had the codes read to see if anything is logged?

Hopefully some good news today mate.
NO CODES, if you have any other suggestions please feel free. ;)
if i had any ideas mate i'd let you know. I'd of thought if the ecu was refusing to start because of a lack of signal from the crank position sensor it would of logged it not trying to put you down, thats just how i see it i'm afraid

The ecu does not log any codes from a non start situation, all i know the there is no spark from cold and the wiring/connectors to and from Injector driver, cam crank and other associated relays, sensor's are good, all other sensors and coil/module leads plugs cap lalalalala lol have bin replaced The flywheel is the only thing that is incorrect on the vehicle, so that being the case i think its worth a shot.

This is starting to sound like the red one all over again... What components did both cars had in common...? Engine? Fuel pump? Is it possible that you've singled out a known issue and focused on that rather than looking into other causes? Just a thinking out loud here and feel free to shoot me down at any time mate.
