Well well well, what a eventful few days, For all the doubters out there who said i should have tested this tested that, used ONLY genuine Volvo parts even tho Volvo dont make anything which myself being in the trade for over 18 years have known this for a very long time. And that even modifying my crank sensor as per volvo's instructions it will cure the problems i have been having..... And even after having the car Peco scoped by a professional auto electrician still confirmed it wont be the obd1 FLYWHEEL causing the issues. I can confirm that after Changing the flywheel from the obd1 version to what should be in there ie a OBD 2 one did infact cure the starting issue. :funkybana No amount of testing this that and the other could confirm what i Found out, OBD 1 flywheels WILL cause havac if fitted into a OBD 2 car. Blacky fired up after the 1st revolution of the engine and has continued to do so after 24 hrs. Hot oir cold she is the best starting Volvo ive had which since ive blown over £500 chasing this problem down it bloomin should be. The car has a newly found lease of life and now feels as she did do in her previous vehicle the (obd 1) Red 855, very very lively half throttle acceleration is now back to how it should be, and the exhaust note has changed also. :) Cant wait to get her on the strip next year, and apply future improvements to her. My thanks go's out to all of the peeps on this forum who have helped me along this god forsaken journey and have kept me in Volvo ownership. My biggest thanks goes out the AndysR who has stood by helped and showed me a few problem solving techniques and also spent his time working on blacky with me. Go's to show this forum is a Awesome place and full of vast knowledge and enthusiasm from its members. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED> :bow_kneel
sorry but what was the problem you were havening , and whats the difference between the 2 flywheels
The Obd 1 flywheel has holes drilled around it and the crank sensor pick up from there, the OBD 2 Flywheel has Steps/coggs around it much like abs teeth. Decided to try a slightly different RIP design, getting rid of the Larger exposed piece of silicone, Ive still retained the standard size piping using some left over volvo pipe work i had so keeping everything oe lol. What do you peeps think, i'm hoping the disappearance of the silicone replacing it with alloy pipe will make her spool even quicker and hold boost even better as there will be alot less flex. Looks wise im not sure but hoping if its dry tomorrow i will take her for a spin. before Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us After Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us Image Uploaded with ImageShack.us apologise for the picture quality poxy phone lol

Mine will be black & orange to match my planned colour scheme. It's good you've found your love for blacky again mate, after the day I've had you need to share your love! Lol Made up your troubles are sorted & you can start tuning. :)
