All volvo parts used to convert the car to a facelift with extras From this To this
All recovered Old pvc cover visor and A piller Facelift covered visor and A pillar loads better
Good colour match. Old armrest on right from 03 R now not needed with new cover R look facelift one
Uprated facelift cold air. Look, at the size difference lol
New intercooler has since been cleaned up and lightly sprayed black again This has mate a massive difference to reliable performance. Car now holds the boost at 16psi to red line even when on the motorway where boost used to back off to 10psi after few miles of boost
Had to install facelift 07 to 09 air condenser for the 3inch boost pipes to fit the airtec intercooler
Boost pod installed and molded onto dash
Think plastic under coat Helford sat black
R clock with extra 2010 r design chrome rings fitted
Old interior Then ripped out New interior from 04 R and 05 console
Nice car and mods mate keep it coming .any engine mods like bigger turbo etc
Car just before respray
Old mirrors
Blimey that's changed loads, I like the built in boost gauge that's a nice mod.
Nice car and mods mate keep it coming .any engine mods like bigger turbo etc
Got a 19T to fit yet but just concerned about the rods so going save up and get them upgraded first.i must say with larger intake off the R with the k and n fitted plus intercooler I've noticed a big difference in reliable performance. I also have a progressive water injection kit to install yet and larger injectors all on my work desk.
Blimey that's changed loads, I like the built in boost gauge that's a nice mod.
Mate the boost gauge position is perfect. Really easy to see and read. I'm amazed ipd haven't had them made as it's far better then in a air vent or pillar. Really does look like a genuine volvo part now.
Lovely coversion - needs dark seats, black perhaps with red piping to carry the theme.
looks excellent especially in red, boost guage is a nice mod
Lovely coversion - needs dark seats, black perhaps with red piping to carry the theme.
I could get the black seats but just think the car looks too dark and dull. The cream gives it some light. The red looks odd in the pictures but real world it actually looks really good. Will give it some thought though lol
looks excellent especially in red, boost guage is a nice mod
Really happy with how the colour has turned out especially as it's Churchill red which only cost £45 for 5 litres compared with £195 for volvo red. Looks a better red when side by side.
Just think the beige gives the car a fresher and brighter look and feel.
youve done a cracking job on the car. black carpets would make all the difference. ill post some pics of my interior.
I think if you added panels or hints (like you did with the steering wheel and gear knob) with red piping then it would not be too dark.
Cracking work there mate as others have said.. really do like the boost gauge mod well done mate
here a pic of mine. just the right amount of cream. i couldnt live the cream dash and carpets.
here a pic of mine. just the right amount of cream. i couldnt live the cream dash and carpets.
That actually looks really good. Might have to get the carpets now then. Looks about right. Hated the cream dash and console
You've done a great job, I'm liking that steering wheel. As has already been commented on I think you need the darker carets.

The steering wheel is loads better mate. It's thinker too now which gives it a more sporty feel.
Looking really good now mate you have done a cracking job!!!
Yep love this thread great build cracking job
Thanks guys, value all ur advice and opinions which is why I've posted to get a feel what u all think and what improvements I could do. The seat colour being one but I'm fighting myself over it as when I sit in the car the beige does look really nice and brightens up the interior. Mate has the dark interior and the car just seems dull and colourless. If I had a red Ferrari I'd have the cream interior I'm thinking lol
i love the look of your car mate very nice colour and a lot of money well spent on the beast
