Just thought I'd say a quick hello by way of introduction.
I'm based in Baldock just off the A1m, j9/10, north of Stevenage. Run my own building contracting company & have a busy family so just about get time to have the odd pipe dream about all the mods & improvements I'd love to make to the old Volvo but generally have to make do with reading about other peoples trials & tribulations!
I've owned my 'Flying Brick' for just shy of 3 years. It's a 1995 855 2.3T5 GLT Manual, all mod cons, black inside & out, 150k on the clock. Really quite smart for a car of its age & considering the pittance I paid for it on E-bay. Pulls like a train & still puts a smile on my face. I'll try to attach some photos to the thread.
I'm also a member of the VOC, good for parts & pretty friendly. However I'm looking to turn either this car or buy/create a bit of a sleeper/trackday car & after a check around of a few of the forums found this one to be the most informative regarding the performance angle & refreshingly grown up - hope I fit in :)
Got a few bits I want to sort out on the car so expect I'll be picking a few people's brains soon enough!

ps. just noticed that the interior is looking a bit shabby in this snap....don't worry - I had the leather restored by a specialist not long after this was taken, will have to dig out a more recent photo when I get a minute!

i think i'll always have a soft spot for any 855 t5 manual! my first introduction to fast volvos. havent looked back since haha
