Hi all, A newbie here but not to Volvos.. I have owned a P1800 ES did a major restoration on her while in British Columbia Canada sold her and moved to Denmark>Germany>Denmark.. During that period I owned a 1998 V 70 T (193Hp version) then on to a 240 estate and now have a 1999 V70 TDI. In my need for speed.. the TDI is great but.. OK the V70 T spoiled me I have decided to try to find a good 850 R estate. Do you guys have any good tips on avoiding a T5 or a T5R makeup job? Any other major sore points than Timing belt Air con PCV valve Gasket between the Trans and Engine Thanks for your input and if you know of a left hand drive 850 R….in good shape Mike

Hi Frankie but knowledge knows no boundaries..:) That is what I really am looking for. I don't expect to find a left hand drive 850 R in the UK but you guys can tell me the tricks used to pass off a T5 or a T5R as an R… I hope… or is there list of VIN numbers somewhere that I can find. Thanks!!!! Mike
