Whilst the rear seats are out of the Cabbie, Rachel thought she'd give them a clean today, but the results weren't great. It seems the seats have gathered quite a bit of road grime over the years:
Any ideas if it's possible to get the leather back to its original colour, and what the best thing to use is?

i just use warm water on mine and comes up ok

get a decent nail brush and scrub the leather. its the only way to get the dirt out then wipe it wipe a damp cloth

I polished my dads landy with it, it was decent but I wasn't doing anything fancy with it. I use there glass cleaner all the time but nothing beats vinegar and news paper for water marks lol.
there bottle are annoying as hell. ive got there tyre dressing and there version or iron x. the sprays bottles spoil a half decent product
I used there Iron X product, I remember you saying you didnt like there stuff, Whats up with there bottles I quite like them? I stay close to polished bliss so I can go in and browse all the goodies, they have a shelf with products the need to shift on due to variose reasons, the bottle of auto finesse polish I bought was only £5 because it has a dodgy lid. I also got a bottle of swissvax interior cleaner that should have been £40 for £10 because apparently they has used a but of it, I couldn't tell.
How did you get on with steam cleaning the leather? I didnt have the proper volvo isofix guides fitted to the V70 for a while and its dented the leather, maybe over time it will correct its self but I heard steam cleaning will sort stretched leather.
it takes ages to cover a wheel in there product. takes me about 15 mins to do my wheels. i prefer the wolf chamicals deironizer. comes in a 5 ltr bottle and i use my one trigger spray bottle

Ive used different products to re colour, feed and clean leather over the years. Gliptone liquid leather conditioner is the best there is I have found but for cleaning I use Mr Muscle spray! Its the one in the dark blue bottle.It does dry it a bit but gets all the deep grime out and you are going to condition it all after anyway so drying it wont be a problem. Obviously test a sample in an inconspicuous area first.
Liquid Leather here too - used it on many many interiors, all with great results http://www.liquidleather.com/car-shop.html As stated ^^^^ use a gentle nailbrush with the cleaner to scrub the dirt out of the nap, then clean with a damp lint free cloth. Then condition with liquid leather conditioner. I used to do it annually - hard work, yes, but the result (and smell!) was well worth it. A nice bonus is that your hands will smell of leather for a few days too lol
Over the last two weeks I have given the seats a wash & Conditioning with liquid leather conditioner 3 times and it says you can condition the leather until the condition it doesn't soak in any longer. I wish I had taken some before and after photos as the driver's seat was looking very shiny & creased in places and now almost all have slowly came out,it's looking so much better now. My question is how much is too much conditioner on the leather if it still soaks in and drys out does that mean it still needs more ?. The leather does polish to shine with a cotton cloth, I can now see the sparkly bits in the leather finish.
Im not going to get into a debate about conditioning leather because I do it myself, but I have read quite a few rimes now that leather wont absorbe conditioner it will only help attracting dirt onto the leather.
