After getting away with one for a while I'm thinking i should probably get one before my next trip, does anyone else have one and what colour your issued for a 1994 850 t-5, its my understanding you apply and they just send it out without telling you before hand which colour is for your car? Cheers. Simon.

It goes green, yellow and red, red being most pollutant, I'm sure your car would be able to pass green or yellow as red is normally for pre cat or older cars... I think !!

What's this? Never heard of this before, I've been to Germany twice now on a driving holiday and intend to go again on a driving holiday next year, is this something I should know about?

Yes i'd agree with you about the red badge certainly sounds right, i think soon you won't be able to take a car with a red badge into citys? And with yellow I'm lead to believe certain citys have restrictions?

Like you i've never had a problem but the germans do like their rules and I'm not really one to take chances. I worked for a german company for a short period so got to know abit German things like these. Image

Simon, we may have some green badges at work, I will have a look and " borrow" a few.
