an old next door neighbor had a red turbo 2.... number 8, some special rally winning car? mad old man had upgraded the turbo 3 times.... didnt hang around like the average 70yo

Post 670092 by jamesy12345 on 2013-12-16 10:49:10

More pics.......not actually on my drive yet but paid for.....I've asked them to fit a larger intercooler as it already has a higher lift cam in there. John P recommended to fit an exhaust with a smaller silencer (read: flame trap) :D, will see how it goes...... Apologies folks this is the 18+ thread Have at ya, more objects of beauty http://nibler.ru/igirls/25747-bezdonnye-glaza.html Verging (virgin boom boom) on clean that one ps thinking about it, I did actually park a Renault 5 in a hedge, at speed. That was a FWD drive with all of the weight up the front. Unlike my new one which has everything at the back....er.....

I was wondering why the 5 had small wing mirrors, minilite wheels and round fog lights, then found these pics on the net at some 30th anniversary celebrations.........it's been built as a Tour De Corse spec: Pretty sure it hasn't got the full 207 hp kit though, maybe the 178 version http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_5_Turbo

More pics of the 5..... Ally radiator Image Devil SS exhaust Image Image Front suspension converted to coilovers Image Image Image Clutch master cylinder Image Rear coilovers replaced Image Image Rear wheel bearings Image Image And my favourite bit so far, I tracked down a super mega rare Renault Sport sump baffle :D Image Image The plan is to build up the car to the 185 CV spec (about 188 hp). The baffle was one of the last bits, apart from colder spark plugs and upping the boost a little......I won't mess with the boost just yet, til I get a bit of confidence in the car & other uprated parts.
