hehe, go for it mate, make it your own ;)
Mine looked like someone's dog had eaten it & my original gaitor was more holy than the naked vicar who lives behind me. I sorted my problem with a lovely momo universal gear gaitor (with momo embossed logo) & a modified mgtf gear knob which is made by momo but has the same gear diagram on it. Both cost me £40 & I've been asked by many a head if it's oe. If I think on I'll post a pic.
.....you can always take it off again.
.....you can always take it off again.
Not everyone modifies their cars like you do, i.e. for 5 minutes. :P
I have seriously thought about black striping it like above FTO as kits are only 6 quid on ebay so if cack....take it off. They aint adhesive as such. Reckon you guys would hang me tho! lol

I`d replace the top intercooler pipe with a shiny 1 piece and clean/paint the calipers, just didn`t have time to do it.
I`d replace the top intercooler pipe with a shiny 1 piece and clean/paint the calipers, just didn`t have time to do it.
Am doing the calipers when weather better, got some nice leather gaitors, new knob and h/brake leather handle, 2006 S80 leather wheel which nice chunky, cleaned mats in washing machine and vacced inside. That's it for dressing. Not concerned with engine bling, only power, so rest will be practical mechanical mate. It's in good hands. The FTO was a deliberate folly designed for a Marmite reaction lol. The Volvo is safe mate. lol
I don't believe a grown man would do that to a car so either I've got the wrong picture of you and you are 18 not in your 30's or your just winding us up and you found the pics on shed of the week lol.
Looks like mike is gagging for an argument but I agree stripes are naff
I wanted a matchbox racer, that was the point. A car that kids cycle past and go. Wow! lol. It is very tonue in cheek. Again, that was the point. Did it when hitting 40 so surely I need say no more. End of day, makes folk smile and turn heads. When/if get bored of stripes and fly-eyes, it comes off super-easy. Supposed to bein-your-face tacky 18yr old go-faster stripe-esq. That's why I was smilin from ear to ear doing it. lol
Judging by most of the FTOs I've seen in recent years, your's is pretty much the norm!
They are in your face cars, so no point in making it discrete lol. I was cracking-up with lauhter putting them on, as clearly, only certain cars 'pull-it-off' lol. All that said, the engine sounds awesome, good for 150 and 0-60 in around 6 secs with gentle mods. Makes me smile to drive (like volvo, but for dif reasons) and turns heads (that are usually smiling & mocking lol) The car had been off-road for 5 years so took 6 months graft savin from scrappy. Comprehensive overhaul inside and out. Regardless, I love it and it's ace fun to drive with an amazing sounding V6 Mivec roar. Volvo is ace cos totally practical, sensible, solidly built and shifts. Best of both worlds. Having said that, gotta couple decent headlights on order so the blue eyes are going. See, I have a modocum of taste! lol
when your volvos wheels grow up Dave, what is it they want to be? :uglyhamme
