Trader feedback topic.

Is it possible to create a trader feedback section, as over the past week or so, so people have posted either in other peoples threads, or simply not told a trader they're not happy, but the trader has been unaware. I personally think it would be beneficial for people to see what kind of feedback a trader has received before dealing with them, and it would also be somewhere for people that are happy with the service they've received from a trader to make it public.

I sold a few bits on here but no feedback.

There is a feedback system in place (see the info under the usernames to the left<<<<<) though not the most visible system.

Because there's nowhere to put feedback, I know there's the feedback score, but who looks at that?

if its the same as the comunity courier service its a waiste of time, i have picked a few bits up for members on here and not one of them has left feedback good or bad

On turbo bricks they have a thread with the traders name so people can leave feedback

A score isn't the same as an account of personal experience though. ;)

I'd never even realised you could leave feedback.
Now duly informed, thanks

The system can be used to put in a personal account as well.
Though unfortunately, like on ebay not everyone bothers.
People should really feel free to post both positive and negative comments regarding their transactions. There is the member recommendations section.

i use the feedback thing all the time buying or selling, i always remind the buyer to leave feedback
Post 674848 by jamesy12345 on 2013-12-28 09:35:30
I try to use the feedback feature also, although I think I owe Pedro one. A traders thread would be a little more 'visible' to new starts for example
Post 674852 by Santa on 2013-12-28 09:59:35
Maybe we just need to push the itrader thing and make it more visible?
Threads tend to go off topic and potentially could get very large. (And members may only read the first few pages where issues maybe in later pages).
The iTrader does give a summary which may be more intuitive to new members when deciding on whether to engage in a sale with someone?

I think the feedback/itrader thing COULD possibly work ok for members selling to members in a private sale, IF it is made more obvious.
When it comes to buying from traders, I think it would be better to have a thread (make it a sticky) for each trader for people to leave feedback on for people to read. Where the buyer can say how happy or unhappy they were with the products/service they received. But make it a locked thread, and the customer has to submit the feedback to a mod, who will then add their feedback/report to the relevant traders feedback thread. Does that make sense?
That way no one can respond, and you don't end up with a big argument and mess, just one thread per trader with honest reviews and feedback. I think people will only take notice of feedback for traders if it is displayed in a thread for people to read.

Mr kingsford G you now have another feedback score and just about to post in thank you thread too. :)
With regards to private sellers/buyers could you just put a sticky in the for sale/wanted sections so you were aware of late payers or unreliable sellers.
Also add a thank you seperate in that section.

ive sold loads of stuff on here and ive recieved no feedback from any of it. also i disagree with selling stuff via pm. if you post it on a open forum then offers or whos buying should be done on a open forum. even if its for some kind of protection.
Post 675374 by t5 pete on 2013-12-29 14:51:59
Come on then team can we have some trader threads please with the idea of keeping them locked and for the customer to pm mods to have their post approved and inputted

I've been found lol
We are looking at various things. Things that are most effective and have lower on going maintenance are obviously preferred.

This would be good. My dad uses voc and he helped someone out by getting isofix brackets for there V40. He ordered them from volvo, the guy apparently couldn't get them from his dealer. After my dad got them, he said he didn't want them its too expensive, now my dad is charging only what he paid and thats including his discount. Some people have no respect. I'm not sure if they can be returned but if they can it means I will need to do it because he can't drive, if they can't he is left with rather expensive brackets due to a voc time waster. The guy needs negative feed back left towards him.
Not sure what we have would cover that..........but what a £££££££!
Just seen this.
The reason his dealer could not get them was because they are now discontinued by Volvo.
He said if I could get the items he would purchase them off me.I kept him upto date with what was going but when I told him the price after receiving them which he knew before hand his reply to me was they were too expensive and I could try and sell to someone else.I would have done nothing if I had not been asked to.
I'v been bitten once too often helping people out ,lending out tools etc that hire companies don't stock but not anymore. Once bitten twice shy as we say up here but it is sad that you have to think that way but it seems to be the way the world is now.
