I am now torn, do I get the MTE remap next, or the nice 19" wheels I've seen on eBay, need to decide performance or looks, so hard to choose

If you get the remap you might not find the wheels again, if you get the wheels you can always get a remap later.
My question would be 'How are your current tyres?', if they're only half worn - then I'd say go for the MTE remap. If they're knackered then the new alloy package. HTH Steve
I agree with Stephen. Just out of interest, will the 19's totally ruin the ride? I know 17's to 18's can make a fair bit of difference
I have only one word for you, POWER!!!!
if you have that kind of money kicking about, I'd start upgrading suspension and brakes. no point having all that power if you're gonna end up on your roof in a field.

I stop thinking about exhaust, remap ect. On first order is for me good set of alloys/tyres, suspension and brakes.
Brakes are for wimps. ;)
is that why you hammered yours so hard you melted the pads? :)
I was always told good handling & stopping can make all the difference & can be the same as +50bhp. Top gear proved me wrong with that modified Renault thing they built. Personally I would leave the map till last & would only upgrade the wheels/tyres with a decent size & tyre brand. Hope this helps. ;)
is that why you hammered yours so hard you melted the pads? :)
They're crap pads, didn't use brakes much after the pads had broken into chunks and stuck to the discs. ;)
If you get the remap you might not find the wheels again, if you get the wheels you can always get a remap later.
I've been watching the wheels for three or four months now, they are new from an alloy wheel supplier on eBay and they keep relisting them car would look the dogs on them, then I keep thinking about Dons quote of 395 for a stage 3 MTE remap giving the extra ooumph for overtaking. As far as current tyres go I have winters on at minute, but when I come to change them back I would need a couple of new tyres for front. I would only put a decent make of tyres on, I generally run Goodyear f1s for summer
Brakes are ok as being xplod p2.5 it has the big discs and XC90 calipers, admittedly it does want lowering
upgraded bushes (powerflex or meyle hd etc) your ARBs should be fine, shocks (I have boge automatic at 190 quid a pair) braided brake lines (mainly for bling) stiffened strut brace, you could go up a brake size too if you felt the urge, the 336mm setup is rather effective ;) dot 5.1 fluid is a must too.
oh, avoid apex springs if you value your fillings lol.
oh, avoid apex springs if you value your fillings lol.
Will bear this in mind when I get some lowering springs
If your getting 19's then you'll lose your fillings anyway lol
Yes but it will look the dogs danglys
on stilts the 19s will look abit naff gotta slam it on its arse to work ;)
get eibach springs. they give a nice ride. id be going for the remap if i was you
