Hi Guys First time Volvo owner here. Been considering one or ages & kinda fell into one via work. as far as Performance goes i know its not going to set the world alight as its Normally Aspirated 20v Phase 1 V70 SE i'm glad to see they have a good following as there seems to be quite a few forums etc for them, i chose this forum as i guess you guys might be more into the performance/engineering side of them more than the Side impact & load carrying specs of the traditional anorak type owners club/forum (that may have come across as a bit insulting towards genuine enthusiasts but that wasn't my intent) as for me i manage a family owned Independant MOT centre & workshop. Did 27 years in a main dealer workshop, only been a pen pusher for the last 3 :) i'd class my interests as Racing RC buggys, Photography & my 2 dogs. need to get a few thing taken care of on my car as it was a mega cheap purchase off a customer after it failed MOT & it needs some TLC its only done 120,000 so hopefully it will serve me well for some time to come (its only going to be used as a second car anyway)

Actually passed my driving test in North Camp, when they had the test centre on Alexandra Road. Yeah Pegs (Pegasus) are the wheels.
Welcome to the club, now as to the side impact and load carrying specs....
Ha Ha, not easy to get the sentiment across in the written word :) actually i was interested in the load capacity as i want to use the car to transport all my race/camping gear to the track at weekends, prob the main reason i wanted one. i was looking at newer T5's & R's but for what i need the car i got is perfect. i'm not sure the planned suspension drop will be ideal for getting in & out of the fields/parks where the tracks are typically located but they do look good down low :)

Welcome mate, sure it will look well on pegs & lowered. Plenty of styling/interior upgrades to make it a nice place to be. ;)
Welcome mate, sure it will look well on pegs & lowered. I drove an S8 for the last 7 years so i know pretty much anything i buy will be a bit of a step down but as i have a brand new daily driver company car i just wanted something to insure to keep my no claims ticking along that would double up as a small van at weekends for racing or taking the dogs out & about :)
