Hello, it has been brought to my attention that I may have been too hasty in organising an event without properly introducing myself first, so I do apologise.
Right, so I have been a volvo fan for many years now and have owned many models. 850's have always been my favourite and I currently own an 855 tdi with a couple of performance mods (180bhp and 400nm).
I have been an active member on volvoforums for some time now and try and help where I can but only really know the D5252t engine. Guess not many here are doing much with the old tdi?

The tractor-juice powered swedes aren't unheard of here but yes, there's not many.

I will post pics tomorrow but not a lot to look at really yet. Still all original on the outside, even steelies! But I do have an R front bumper and spoiler to go on when I get around to it.
Mods are mild right now, bigger nozzles, decat, 18psi boost and a tuning box. Its good fun and surprises a lot of people, feels quicker than the t5 I had but thats just because of the torque. And it does 45+ mpg...bargain!

I know of this crazyness! I have been as far as 235bhp but sold that one.

Hi and welcome.I`ve seen some tuned tdi`s over 300bhp and yes at 235 it would be faster than a T5.

welcome, I heard that over on the audi side of things people convert the tdi block to use on petrols and then it can take up to 1000bhp.
interesting you have tuned your tdi. I have never been much of a fan of the unit myself because it is just so noisey!

Regarding the tdi being noisy, yes it can be especially with a clattery old vacuum pump! (Mine)
But normally not too bad I thought, if its timed up nice and run on proper diesel (not supermarket) it is somewhat refined. A bit of 2-stroke helps too.
