Have got this in the van , works ok cost £65 approx.
The good/ bad thing is it records with PAL so can play it on the tv very easy as it comes with the leads.
And this one in the car.
I'm torn between buying the G1W or the Mobius camera.
I only really want it for when I'm out on track, rather than for everyday use.

i use a GoPro, i found the video footage when recording at 1080 wasn't good enough to read a vehicle reg most of the time so always record in 2.7k. Even with the camera mounted just in front of the rear view mirror the FOV is enough that it'll get the whole width of the dash, plus you can use the camera for anything else you want to
I've got a HUD app for the iWeight so get a vehicle speed displayed onto the video from that

I have been using an in car camera for about 3-4 years now in the AA van. Caught lots of ££££s doing stupid things and many accidents too. Police have even used my footage for a fight that broke out in brighton last year. Worth every penny. £50 on Amazon. Hd video and front and rear camera. Has gps too.

I went with the latest Blackvue (550) front and rear. Still fitting it (want it to be tidy) but should be done this weekend. First impressions are very positive but the kit's not cheap. Next step will be to hack it so I can automatically dump all the videos from the camera card over my home wifi once I've parked up!
Surprised how many people use these now.....may have to look into getting one.

Plus video footage stops any "additional" witnesses suddenly spring up & saying you were to fault if anything was too happen

I've bit the bullet and ordered an SJ1000 :D Seems a good all rounder, can attach it to most things and the screen is a bonus for setting up the shot.

Erm yes they can.
Had one of these for several months now mainly for use on the bike clips to crash helmet so it's waterproof and probably a bit over the top and overpriced for most car use, but a decent mount is available to clip it into car dont use car much but have it on quite often. Just soooooooooooooooo many idiots out there. Have come down a little in price since i bought mine.
