After reading a few threads on VS about fitting N/A cams. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/153406-na-cams-in-my-turbo-850/ http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/127747-upgrade-na-cams-only-intake-cam-or-upgrade-both-intex-on-my-850-t5-r/ I thought I would show how I have timed my N/A cams. First I locked the cams in position and checked the front timing marks. Image Image Then a put my digital angle gauge on flat piece of plate which fitted in the slot in the end of the exhaust cam. The angle gauge was set to zero. Image The 3 bolts on the front of the cam pulley were slackered off and the cam moved anti-clock by 2 degrees. Image Then tighten the 3 bolts on the cam pulley, as you can see on the pulley it`s only small movement. Image As for the inlet cam I did the same but moved the cam 2 degrees clockwise. Then turned the engine over slowly to make sure it turned freely :)

]With these cams fitted I take it the map will need to be changed as they are saying it moves the power up the rev range. Nice to see the difference when it up and running.

Are you going to run solid lifters? And if so I assume they need shimming? :/
