practical classic car magazine has a £999 performance shoot out / day sort of thing every year , it includes handling , drag and i think a bit of a track , they post up the results and pics every year ,
ive done 2 benidorm or bust runs in volvos , the last time i left it down there and now the people who run/organise cartegena race track use it for promos and racing ,doing it again this year but im going as part of the management and have been given a rover 620 to coax down there
this is one of the vans that went down last year

£999 performance shootout? sweet! Mine was free and I don't think I've blown a grand on what you'd consider "performance" modifications :)

I was going to do it a few years ago, but our Volvos wouldn't have a chance.

Post 703366 by spikey50 on 2014-04-14 19:29:16
doesnt come out too well on pics , fitted short shifter and raised gearstick , also put threads on stick to accept new knob coming from china
this is deff going to be an antidote to the polishing brigade , if i get up some one nose with the bad paint job it will all of been worth it :ices_rofl
