been having a quick look for a somewhat tent to help work on the car as I don't have a garage at my home ( although my old man owns a very large mech garage- something like 5 lifts and 2 tunnels. .. but I don't like bothering him as he's getting on and hates cars now lolol)
this is what I've found. looks perfect for me as I don't think I've room on my park for a full tent

I also appreciate other suggestions. but I really like this and thought I'd let you ladies no. and see how you get around not having your own garage. so many days have I had to give a miss due to weather lol

I just got used to rolling about in a puddle pretty quickly.
Reminds me of my teenage years ;)

Seriously tho, that looks a bit of a "white elephant", I can't see it being a lot of use when it's raining as the top doesn't cover much ground. and then there's the biggest problem with working in the rain - the car... even if you're not laying in a puddle, you still get water running off the body and into uncomfortable places around your body.
Me and the missus are looking for a new house at the moment and we've specified a large driveway (3+ cars) and preferably a garage (which will end up as a workshop). I used to make bespoke pergolas years ago so I'll knock one up and fit it with sides and a roof so I can work on the cars in comfort. I may even dig a pit.

I no what u mean. what I think it should have is on the side have slide down side panels if you know what I mean....I think we're moving next year. I love a double garage/workshop lol

I've never had a garage to work in alway just did it in the street, or took the car to someone else's garage if the weather is really bad. I remember taking out a Renault 5 dash board in the snow what a bad idea that was....crappy brittle plastic even in the warm
What about one of these....didn't someone post a pic of using one recently

Yep I have a water proof gazebo, but kit cost £140. Easily weighed down with alloys, bricks and what every else I can find.
MRP - I have a chemical resistant mat to roll on the floor with so less of a drowned rat, but more of a damp squib when I'm finished..
(Exon Valdese is back... Think I may have discovered a new issue...Finished work, so off to play..)

lol I use carpet underlay when I'm under the car :)
I think I want more of a half car tent.
I could prob do an awning from my house but the fronts just grass :(

May not be the cheapest option in the long run but at least the kettle is not too far away...

Slightly more sensible than knocking a wall down...
