went to see teh surgeon today and he confirmed i need more ops which will be done next month. plan is to cut the tendon and wire my toe. this is stage one. he said its very likley theyll be another op after this on and proberly more in the future as i get older. he also said that due to the damage thats already done that the wire might not work and the toe might have to be amputated but he saids its unlikly but has to make me aware of it. so almost 9 months on im still not much further forward. its nothing i wasnt expecting. time to become a one car family now i think.

Like I text earlier Graeme, it's a shame your not much further along and it's a shame you don't know what's happening for certain. Chin up mate and I really do hope you get to hold onto the S60.

Bummer. You'll get there eventually mate. Think about the claim and all the nice mods you could afford with the payout :D

I just hope that you can get where you need to be with the minimum number of operations and that the long term prognosis improves. Do you have a date yet?

I think there are risks associated with both approaches so its a hard call to make. Short-term inconvenience of more ops may give you a better long term prognosis.

Just saying think very hard before you start spending,it took 3 years for my payout. Sorry that the doctors have not finished but I really do hope you come out with the best they can do for you.
Hopefully get the outcome you want.
From what the surgeon said this is just the begining. If they dont amputate toe no2 then theyll be at least one more op. Thatl be 6 in total plus more in future.

Terrible to read that you still have to go through more stress and worry Greame, it can't be easy as it must always be at the back of your mind. My fingers are crossed that everything goes well on the 24th bud :)
