S70 2.5T Recent buy

Hi everyone, Just bagged my first Volvo a few weeks ago. My dad has a V70 and previously had an 850. I got me an S70 2.5T manual with only 58k and full Volvo SH! I love it. Did the AUX mod to my SC-802 head unit yesterday and works a treat. Got a pipercross panel filter fitted, need to make sure it's running 100% before I get a remap done. Was thinking BSR? Any suggestions? Thanks for reading! Rohit

welcome along fella, get some snaps up of your motor & good luck with the remap - you may find yourself wondering how something seemingly so simple turns out to be so complicated! Its a dark art & you'll hear various horror vs. success stories re: the same tuning companies.......do your research, take opinion.....then close your eyes, open your wallet & jump!! Good luck with it all!

Good to see another S70 rearing its head on VPC....welcome. Im sure Deathy will be along shortly to enlighten you on tuning the 2.5T engine, he loves 'em.

Welcome to the club, sounds like you've got a good honest car. Get some pictures up though as it's customary here for newbies and you wouldn't want to fall at the first hurdle ;)

Welcome to S70 ownership there are not many of us lol, as Munster kindly pointed out i also own a V70 with the 2.5T engine which has been slightly modified over the years here is the project thread for it: http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?53452-Project-V70-2-5T-ME7 If yours is an ME7 then take many notes from my thread, if not its pretty much the same as tunning the T5 or 'R' models

I checked and it seems that mine is not the ME7. Been reading up on the several remap posts but it confused me which one to go for! I want a map that doesn't over write any dealer updates to the ECU. In the meantime I've got me an Eggcrate grill and V70 T5 alloys which I picked up for 45 quid!! Need tyres tho! Thanks for the warm welcome.. Pictures to come on weekend :)

If its an old motronic ecu, then i don't think you'll have to worry about overwriting any dealer updates.

Hlm for remap .i had a v70 2.5lpt and had a remap done and it made a massive difference .

Some pictures after a clean this weekend. Managed to get my T5 wheels on which I'm happy about. Next thing is just waiting for the Eggbox grille which is in the post ��
