Burnley season tickets or Gul respray?

So all being well my beloved Clarets will be in the Premiership next season. My Son, Nathan has asked for season tickets for next season, but that would mean putting Gul's respray off until 2015. Can't do both, so what should I do?

Post 699058 by silverhorse on 2014-03-29 20:20:21

Errrr, respray obviously. and get Sky so your boy can watch Burnley lose on telly. Hang on, Burnley in the Prem????????

Post 699059 by foammanmark on 2014-03-29 20:22:54

Thanks for that, and I will now show my wife that you agreed with me. We've had season tickets before, and we started to miss games for various reasons, so wasted money in effect. Are you a Norwich fan joi?

I'm with Graham here, unless someone throws in an odd shaped ball, to make the decision harder :buttkick:

As a Blackburn fan I think you know the "correct" answer to your question! ;)
As a Blackburn fan I think you know the "correct" answer to your question! ;)
Gul re-spray it is then, which is definitely my preferred option. Bit more than the season ticket though.............

heres my logic on it. spend money on a square bit of tin with 4 wheels. or spend quality time with your son. they will always be a car in your life but spending time with your son is much more important if you ask me. its a no brainer. family first then the car. always this order

Nathan gradually lost interest cos of X Box issues, and we missed several games.

Do the prep work on the car yourself with your son, then take him to the spray shop with you ;) Oh who am I kidding...
Simple then! Do the prep work on the car yourself with your son, then take him to the spray shop with you ;) Oh who am I kidding...
Now there is an idea. Most of the cost is in the prep work, so Nathan and me do as much as poss of that. Just need a couple of front wings now..................

Post 699178 by jamesy12345 on 2014-03-30 08:53:04

Which one will you enjoy more? :) Personally I liked the idea of you two doing the prep work together and visiting the body shop. He'll remember that and learn some stuff too. You can still go to some of the matches maybe? Got to admit I'm not a big fan of football though

Post 699190 by timbo on 2014-03-30 10:17:14

Gul respray! Footballers have enough cash! And its an investment in the Gul.

Post 699206 by Nealevo on 2014-03-30 11:40:17

Id get the season ticket, Burnley will only be in the prem for one season so you might as well enjoy it, just look at the Cardiff/Palace fans this year... Enjoying the ride, your car will still be there next year.

Post 699389 by LiamT4 on 2014-03-30 20:42:20

I agree with neal, you never know how long they'll be there or when they'll next be in the prem. .......although, after yesterdays result against leicester ;) ;), you still need a few points to be certain.

So it looks like we're going to do it the difficult way, which doesn't surprise me at all. If we won today, and Derby didn't win, then Burnley were promoted. Guess what, we lost and Derby won. Surely, we can't give an 11 point lead away which is now down to 8, can we?
ya no probs pal if getting it over is a problem i can always come to you and take some pics of where it needs atention ect.. and pass them on to my boss
It's a full respray that we're looking at, unfortunately for me............ The C70 is just the lower parts of the doors/rear quarters upto the plastic side trims. She's had a fairly poor respray in the past I was told by the previous owner.

So Burnley won promotion, and I've resisted buying season thickets so far. That's £700 in the re-spray fund, so a great start.

I was from Blackburn... LOL Brought up there. The place is a pile of crap these days, although I was there last weekend catching up with folks and picking up the V70R from Tim that has just had the 2.5 stripped out and replaced as it split the liner repair (was already split and repaired before when Ben had it but the repair only held for 40,000 miles). It's just had a shimmed 2.4 block fitted so I never need to worry about that again. Now I'm in Lisbon for the summer... It's cheaper to live here, and in no way compares to Blackburn at all.
